Growing like a weed

The temperature has been hovering in the 80's the last several days. Wade had a thing on his desk that shows the humidity. It's reading 86%. It's really not very pleasant out at all. As I'm typing this I'm debating on mowing. I skipped it last week and now it really needs it but I hate doing it when it's that hot and humid. The thing is, it's not supposed to get any better. The entire week shows about the same.

Oh well at least some of the weeds make for good pictures.

  1. No weeds, only wildflowers. And they are beautiful, too beautiful to be mowed down. It seems like just a few days ago when you mowed! We have been having a heat wave and it has been over 90 every day.

  2. I sympathize about the heat and humidity. We had summers like that when we lived in Ithaca, NY without an air conditioner. We wilt in that kind of weather. Good luck!

  3. Figuring in the heat index with those numbets I can see why you're not mowing!

  4. What lovely weeds! I think in this type of weather you are supposed to mow at the crack of dawn...or pay someone to do it!

  7. It get hot here, but we don't have the humidity. I can relate to the humidity though. Was in Texas in September once. Wow, it was dripping wet with humidity.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of lovies to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

  8. It's nasty, isn't it? We mow late in the day or early on the weekends. Last weekend, Joe had to treat the star magnolia for scale...he came in dripping wet....just from trimming the inside of the darn tree! Yeah...be careful in this heat. The lawn can wait.

    1. I agree. I did end up mowing because there was a breeze but I had a bottle of water with me and took frequent drinks
