The temperature has been hovering in the 80's the last several days. Wade had a thing on his desk that shows the humidity. It's reading 86%. It's really not very pleasant out at all. As I'm typing this I'm debating on mowing. I skipped it last week and now it really needs it but I hate doing it when it's that hot and humid. The thing is, it's not supposed to get any better. The entire week shows about the same.
Oh well at least some of the weeds make for good pictures.

No weeds, only wildflowers. And they are beautiful, too beautiful to be mowed down. It seems like just a few days ago when you mowed! We have been having a heat wave and it has been over 90 every day.
ReplyDeleteYep, wildflower sounds better than weed. the mowing is a never ending job
DeleteI sympathize about the heat and humidity. We had summers like that when we lived in Ithaca, NY without an air conditioner. We wilt in that kind of weather. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked this kind of weather but the last few years I'm finding it more difficult to handle
DeleteFiguring in the heat index with those numbets I can see why you're not mowing!

DeleteYep. There was a breeze today though so I mowed when I got home
DeleteWhat lovely weeds! I think in this type of weather you are supposed to mow at the crack of dawn...or pay someone to do it!
ReplyDeleteI suppose I could do that but it would have to be on my day off.
DeleteGinny is right! not weeds but God's beautful wild flowers.. uck on the humidity. bob has to cut our grass at 7 am, to hot after that. early or just before dark is best.
ReplyDeleteYes!!! Both shots are excellent...and reminds me I need to go in search of thistle....I love to photograph it.
ReplyDeleteIt get hot here, but we don't have the humidity. I can relate to the humidity though. Was in Texas in September once. Wow, it was dripping wet with humidity.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of lovies to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Hot I don't mind, the humidity I could do without
DeleteIt's nasty, isn't it? We mow late in the day or early on the weekends. Last weekend, Joe had to treat the star magnolia for scale...he came in dripping wet....just from trimming the inside of the darn tree! Yeah...be careful in this heat. The lawn can wait.
ReplyDeleteI would do it late in the evening but I go to bed early...lol Maybe I'll try for early morning on my days off
ReplyDeleteIt's way too humid to be doing anything outside! :) Some weeds are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I did end up mowing because there was a breeze but I had a bottle of water with me and took frequent drinks
DeleteYour weeds made for marvellous pictures . . . You are a wonderful photographer. Happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteyes Love your Wildflowers...
ReplyDeleteThanks. I wonder what my neighbors think of them...lol
DeleteBeautiful! Sorry about the heat. I'm happy to be out of Florida.
