Special delivery

I mad a quick and fun Valentine decoration.

I bought a little tin mailbox from Dollar Tree and painted a wood candle stick holder white.

Then I glued the candle stick holder to the bottom of the mailbox and tied some bakers twine around it to make a little bow.

It doesn't get much easier than that.

I made one similar to this last year! I like your box's post much better (I used dowel)

I don't know if kids still do valentine cards in school, but they were treasures to me when I was young. That would be a great place to keep your cards.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and an extra treat for Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Love it! I saw the little mail box in dollar tree last week.. I thought how much I would have loved it back when I was in grade school and we always made boxes to put our valentines in. I wonder if they still do that in grade school now.. mine was 65 years ago.... beyond vintage is what I am.... good job AGAIN

very cute! I wonder if they still share Valentine's at school? I remember when that was a very big deal.

That is so cute...and so simple once I see it done. I would not have thought of it.

Very cute! My dad and stepmom are both retired Postmasters so mailboxes always get my attention.

Anni, your version is cute too. Sometimes you just gotta go with what you have handy.

Sandee I don't know if they do or not either. I always loved getting them

MyGBGV Life thanks. It is definitely a simple project

Lin I don't know if they do them still or not but I remember going through and agonizing over which one to give to who. Wouldn't want to give one that was too mushy to a boy and have him think I liked him....lol

Marti, thanks. It's a small mailbox so they would have to be little cards...lol

Renee thanks, I saw the idea on Pinterest

Ginny Thanks. I saw your idea on Facebook. That's a good idea

BeadedTail thanks. I had a friend who used to be a Postmaster and I always grabbed related items when I saw them to give her as gifts.
