When the guys who do my mowing took care of my front yard, they had put some iris at the one end. I remember having some in there and looked forward to it blooming.
I am certain that the ones I had were purple, but this year I have white ones.
A long time ago I had some white iris in my back yard but I haven't seen any other than the purple ones in a very long time. This was a nice surprise.
There are purple ones everywhere. But the white is kind of rare, and I think they are prettier!
ReplyDeleteoh more prettiness blooming your garden

I've never seen white ones before, thanks!
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh the white ones are so pretty and not common. I don't think I've ever seen white ones.
ReplyDeleteSome plants will turn white after a few yrs. I think it has to do with there not being a male plant, sort of like walnut trees. I know that my four o'clocks used to do that. But if they removed your purple and put in white, that explains that...lol.... I had some white ones before also, the blooms on them were so BIG....
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and I'm glad you had your surprise. They are always very welcome in the garden. Last year I had a sunflower that grew quite tall, and I know we didn't plant it. I am wondering if it will come back. I hope so :) Have a great week Ann :)
ReplyDeleteThey are such beautiful flowers!
