Amanda had a picnic at the beach to celebrate her birthday. This was located at Raccoon Park which is right on Lake Erie. Today I just have some random pictures I took while I was there. One can not go to the beach and not take pictures. Or at least "I" can't go to the beach and not take pictures.
It was a nice day but a bit on the chilly side. From the pictures it kind of looks like the place was deserted but there were actually quite a lot of people there. Those young enough to handle it were even in the water swimming.
Thank you so much for taking pictures. I hope you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteIt looks peaceful and lovely!
ReplyDeletethe second photo looks like our backyard, sand and more sand. it is a beautiful spot to go for a birthday... can't believe the cold part, we are dying already. feels like over 100 at 10 am and evening is 105, humidity like we can cut with a knife. ugh. summer is here. could use your cold beach right now.. just being out with Amanda was a treat for both of you
ReplyDeleteCool shots but I imagine the water Was cold still...Glad Amanda and you got to spend time together!

That was a great place for a birthday party! But anywhere on a great lake is!
ReplyDeleteI have this pig-headed prejudice that 'beach' only applies to the oceanside! And I am accustomed to lakes having rocky 'beaches' not sandy ones. Still - waterside is always the best side.
ReplyDeleteA birthday picnic - sounds wonderful. Beautiful photos of the shore and lake.
ReplyDeleteYour beach photos remind me of my childhood enjoying the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan across the street from our home. We went swimming in spite of the cold water temperature.
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of Lake Erie as a child. My father was in construction and before we started school, we lived there. Great times, thanks for sharing yours.
