The birds

Can't remember when this was, maybe a week or so ago. I happened to look out the window and saw a large number of birds flying up from the street into the tree in my front yard. They were followed by two more large groups of birds. The tree was filled with birds

I think some of them had already flown off when I got the pictures.

Guess there was a birdie convention in town. I posted that on Facebook and someone who lives down the street from me had said that they were gathered at her house a few days before.

  1. They are like dark leaves! Did they make any noise? Yes, the gloves are fingerless, you are very observant!

  3. Makes you wonder what really is going on. Are they chatting with each other in Bird language or are they just having choir practice. It is a beautiful sight when you see this.

  5. We had that a couple of years ago here. Our entire backyard, which is rather large, was covered with them. It was a bit spooky.

  11. Starlings or grackles. This is their season for hanging out. Watch for mumurations in open fields. It's when they swarm.
