May those who love us, love us
And those who don’t love us,
May God turn their hearts
And if he can’t turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping!
And those who don’t love us,
May God turn their hearts
And if he can’t turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping!
May you have all the happiness
And luck that life can hold
And at the end of all your rainbows
May you find a pot of gold.
May the roof over your head
always be strong
May you be in Heaven a half hour
before the Devil knows you’re dead!
May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks.
May your heart be as light as a song.
May each day bring you bright, happy hours
That stay with you all the year long.
And your blessings be more,
And nothing but happiness
Come through your door.

I love the "limping haters" in the poem! I'm not Irish, but we do have the corned beef in the crockpot to celebrate regardless. It's really the only time of year that you can find a corned beef easily!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading all the Irish sayings.
ReplyDeleteLook at you wearing your wee bit of Irish. You look great Ann and I like your decorations too. Great post with all its sayings.
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed and smiled at every one of these. Love your shirt, too. Not being Irish, even a teeny bit, I have never celebrated this day. I usually forget that it is St. Patrick's Day unless I see it someplace. But then I always forget DST, too--lol! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like all the blessings but the first one is too funny.
ReplyDeleteMeant to say I like your shirt!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shirt!
ReplyDeleteCute shirt! Thanks for sharing those words. That was very nice. I like your decorations.
