Something new in the mix.

Back when I posted my giveaway on Facebook a friend of mine asked if I could make a cross body cell phone bag and if she gave me some material, would she be able to order one from me.

I told her I probably could but would need to find a pattern. I went in search. There were a lot out there but most of the ones I found gave metric measurements. Now I suppose I could have used those but would you believe that none of my rulers or my cutting mat have metric measurements on them. I finally found one at Sewcanshe.com

It took me 3 days to do this because I kept getting confused by the directions. It wasn't that they weren't clear it was more of a brain fog thing. I finally got it all done except for attaching the strap because I was waiting on hardware that I ordered on Amazon.

I had purchased the blue print fabric a long long time ago. I had a yard that I was planning on making a dog coat for Duke. Those of you who have been with me forever know how long it's been since Duke was around. Any way, I never made the coat and never used the fabric for anything else.

The back of it has a zipper pocket

I had sent these pictures to my friend to see if this was what she was looking for and I told her there were two inside pockets. Turns out though, that there is actually a third pocket in between the two you can see in the picture.

I have enough of this fabric that I cut out the pieces to make another one and I believe I might even have enough to make a third.

  10. Wow! Now this is a fantastic idea! And the pattern you found is awesome! Having all the little pockets gives you places to hold other things like keys, too. Perfect for going out walking or doing hands free shopping. It is so cute and so practical! Love it! :)
