Covering the hole

There is a spot underneath the steps leading to the upper level of my house that has been a gaping hole since forever. When Wade finished off the man cave his intentions were to put doors on the openings to hide all the stuff that we have shoved in there to store. Unfortunately he never got around to doing that. I've looked at this for a lot of years.

The bottom half I have put those bins in to hold various craft supplies but the top is just a bunch of junk that I should probably get rid of.

So a couple years ago (maybe even longer) I got the bright idea to cover the top with a fabric curtain. I purchased tension rods and fabric and then it sat. I finally decided I was going to take care of this and now it looks like this.

The bottom is still a bit of an eyesore but at least I no longer have to look at the junk in the top.

  2. great idea, I would need to cover the bottom one too. My OCD could not stand it. I don't mind storage that is cluttered as long as I can't see it. my drawers are a mess and closet too but they are closed and it doesn't bother me.. is that a door that stays open and hides it? or can you see it from where you sit?

  7. Ann what pretty fabric. I like brown and aqua together.
Do I spy fairy lights above the curtains? I think the bottom is fine as is you use it a lot and it is handy to reach in and out as is. AND the bind match the curtains
