I was out in the back yard with Gibbs the one day and spotted this.
We had had quite a bit of rain the day before so there were actually quite a lot of these all over the yard. Of course I had to grab the phone and get a closer look.
Morning I do love mushroom when I cook. Don't mean to be an alarmist but some of them that grow in the yard can be poisonous to pets if eaten. A dear friend's Pug passed away from eating mushrooms. Not sure of the kind or color but maybe you can get someone to help you ID them. Hugs Cecilia
I just learned this year that mushrooms "flatten out" as they age. You're never too old to learn new things, I guess. I love these pictures, Ann. ~Andrea xoxo
You took pretty pictures of these wild mushrooms. We haven't had any growing around here lately. We usually have to go walking along one of the trails and that's out for now. Thanks for sharing them.
I love it when mushrooms pop up!
ReplyDeleteSo great to see, Ann!!!
ReplyDeleteYour mushrooms are very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAfter a lot of rain, the yards are usually full!!
Me too! You captured well how they seem to turn browner with time. Was Gibbs interested?
ReplyDeleteThey popped up in my garden too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see their development.

ReplyDeleteWow, you have mushrooms. They really look like nice ones.
ReplyDeleteWe have them here too.
ReplyDeleteSure amazes me how these things can pop up overnight ...plus the size they can become..
ReplyDeleteLike little cream colored umbrellas opening up--but to the sun instead of the rain. :)
ReplyDeleteMushrooms amaze me too - but can't say I like them in my yard. lol

ReplyDeleteI love mushroom hunting for photos. So fun. I love in the mornings when the mushrooms and little flowers all look sleepy.
ReplyDeleteNot only do you draw them, you photigragh them, too.
