Just for the heck of it.

It's been a while since I've made a cell phone bag. I didn't have an order for one but wanted to see how some fabric I had would work. This is sort of a wool like fabric. Definitely a wintery looking bag.

I thought it came out pretty good. The fabric is a little heavier so the slide on the adjustable strap is a little on the snug side. It still works though. I probably should have tried to find a bigger slide buckle. Either that or made the strap thinner.

  1. It's so beautiful!!
I have a friend who makes handmade bags and sells them (I don't know exactly where, she works with orders).
I know they are in great demand and it's her main profession.
You definitely have a talent for it too.
    Have a nice weekend Ann.

  2. I love the check fabric! I remember making a pouch with thicker fabric like this and it was tricky to attach the zipper.

  8. This cell phone bag is soooo cute, Ann. I think the slide not moving very easily is probably a good thing, as it would stay put once you adjusted it. Such pretty colors on that plaid. Love, Andrea xoxo

  14. Hi Ann, not sure why you mentioned that you should have tried to find a bigger slide buckle or a thinner strap for this bag, because in my eyes, it looks fine just as it is. However, I do not have your amazing talent. For myself, I absolutely love this bag and think you did a great job!
I saw as well that you found John's Island via a poem he wrote for another blogger. John and I used to follow each other's blogs when I was at Linda's Peaceful Place years ago. He is an amazing, talented man and write beautiful poems. He visited my blog today and left me a comment....and wrote me a lovely poem as well. He is a wonderful man.
