I've always thought the thistle flowers are so pretty, even if some people think they are just weeds. That is one big hosta! Everything looks so good! :)
The contrast between the wild thistle and the neat, lush hostas sounds beautiful. Even that dead tree adds some character. Sometimes, it’s the simplest moments outside that feel the most grounding.

Love the hostas. We used to have them at another house and I really liked them.
We have tons of weeds here. We're waiting for the landscaper to give us an estimate to make our yard less maintenance.

Ann I loved your walking tour. Thistle is quite pretty. Wabbits ate our hosta to the ground years ago.

Lots of beauty around your place Ann. Our temps are getting to hot and things are beginning to need a lot of water.
Love this walk around your yard. I love the thistles and even the weeds can be pretty in there own way. Guess I need to take a jaunt around our yard and photograph things too. Gotta get to watering since we are going to be in the 100+F temperatures this coming week. Not my favorite time of year for sure...too hot !

The thistles are pretty but I hate the stickers on them.
It's only in the mid 70's here and raining this afternoon.
