Friday June 20th, I had 2 interview scheduled. One was for Aldi's and was a half hour in one direction. The other was for a place called Holiday Financial and was a half hour in the oppposite direction.
The Aldi's interview was first. It was called a group interview but what it actually was, was a bunch of people who were interviewed in the order in which they arrived. I was second. It turned out that it would likely be an evening position which would mean driving home at 8:30 at night. I wasn't crazy about that. She scheduled me for a second interview on the following Sunday and said I would receive a text message confirming. I never did get the text message so I didn't go. I ended up getting an email from them thanking me for my interest but they were going with another candidate. Good because I didn't want it anyway.
Next was a 40 minute drive to the second one but I had plenty of time to kill before the scheduled time. I went to lunch at Burger King. I grabbed my tray of food and this was stuck on it.
While I was sitting there a guy pulled in driving a nice looking car.

Great news! Worthy of a much larger celebration then Burger King!
Excellent on the smile note and second interview for the bank job. Aldi is HORRIBLE to work for. HORRIBLE. Really bad. I've been told this many times by the workers. And when I go, I see how much the workers do and not for enough pay. You dodged a BIG bullet.
Walmart is also a very bad ๐ place to work at, this is the case here in Montreal, for sure. They do not treat their staff well at all. I like ๐ the smile sign.
Wishing you the best of luck, Ann!!
What a day of opposites! Glad things didn’t work out with Aldi—sounds like it wasn’t the right fit anyway.
The second interview sounds much more your style great hours and no weekends? Yes, please! Fingers crossed for the follow-up on Monday.
Hope it all works out in your favor
Fingers crossed for your second interview. ๐
Love the note. I went in the restroom at work the other day and when I closed the door it had a note on it like that. It does bring a smile. Sending good vibes your way that the second interview goes well!
I'm so glad Aldi's turned you down, Ann. The thought of you driving home in the dark, that far away, in winter sent shivers down my spine. A day job, please!! *hugs* Good luck with the loan company job, my friend. Love, Andrea xoxo
I hope you get the loan company position. I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you.

That sounds promising and a much better deal. Hope you get it.
I think that note was really cute. I think you need to go out for a steak with your old friends.
