Saturdays are my shopping days. I 'm trying to do Walmart every other week and just going to the local Dollar Tree for small items I might need on the other week. One Saturday that I didn't need to go to Walmart I went to a little Amish store that's in the next small town over. They have a deli and lots of bulk items as well as some fresh baked items and even fabric and a few sewing items. Their deli prices are very reasonable.
As I was leaving the store I couldn't help admire the gorgeous flowers that were growing right in front of the store.
Pretty in pink! Gorgeous hibiscus. I used to know the name of the second one too. But cannot remember! It is fuzzy like a pipecleaner.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty those flowers :) I would have liked to look around that store :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds a handy store to have close by and interesting, too.
ReplyDeletesounds like a good place to shop, beautiful flowers, I asked google the name of the 2nd and its says cockscomb
ReplyDeleteYou know I love little places like this. They're always so cute and really do have good prices on a lot of things. Happy Friday my friend! Do you have a three day weekend?
ReplyDeleteI really like these small stores that also have a lot of bulk products, definitely high quality!!
ReplyDeleteI've always been delighted by cockscomb - I don't know if it is difficult to grow but I rarely see it...
ReplyDeleteI love visiting Amish establishments. Bread and desserts!!! When we go to see our friends in NC mountains we usually stop by one.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful.
Hugs to you and Gibbs

That's good that the prices aren't bad. Always good to hear that.
ReplyDeleteI love going to those small stores with so many goodies. I have fond memories of taking a small trip and seeing the Amish country. Eating at a place in Bird in Hand. Their bread was to die for.

How pretty! Sounds like a shop I would want to go back to regularly. :)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so pretty. That sounds like a very nice store to visit.
ReplyDeletePretty flowers. Our Walmart is over run with those big blue carts that the employees use to shop for people!!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go to an Amish community and store.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's so close. :)
ReplyDeleteWe do not have any Amish stores close to here. The only one would be a few hours away. Love the beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers *are* gorgeous, Ann. They would have caught my attention too. I love Amish buy-in-bulk stores. I don't have any nearby me but I used to mail order from one years ago. Love, Andrea xoxo
