I took a look back at this time in 2019. Nothing much exciting was going on.
I was still struggling with getting rid of Wade's clothes. They stayed in the closet for quite some time because I was feeling like if I got rid of them I was getting rid of the last bit of him that was still here.
I was still in the bakery at the store where I worked.
I didn't look or feel as old as I do now and apparently I enjoyed clowning around in my spare time
I am glad you got your clown on
ReplyDeleteBittersweet throwback. I'm still hanging onto my mom's clothes. I remember those gorgeous cakes you made!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe its been 7 years, I would never have guessed that long. hugs
ReplyDeleteIt would be a strange world if we all looked as we did when younger.
ReplyDeleteLooking back is bittersweet sometimes, isn't it? Love the picture of you.
ReplyDeleteHeart goes out to you at the thought of having to do this. Your cake baking was always enjoyable to see, loved your decorating style and looking at you in your clown outfit? You’ve got a real twinkle in the eyes :)
ReplyDeleteI am sometimes shocked at how much I've aged! That wasn't supposed to happen! Memories can surprise us with their force of emotion.
ReplyDeleteCute clown and nice cake.
ReplyDeleteANN what a nice post....remembering Wade and ending with your beautiful smile and red nose
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Remembering is a good thing. I've been with you for many years. You made me smile and feel sad in one post.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
I can understand that removing his clothes would be very difficult. The clown photo is so cute. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI think getting rid of a loved one's clothes is common. It's just so...final. The bakery seems like a hundred years ago...doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteA lot has happened since then! I’ll have to go back to pictures and past blogs to remember what I was doing then. I love that clown picture, and I remember your beautiful cakes. ❤️
ReplyDelete(((hugs))) Bittersweet Memories.
ReplyDeleteLove your Clown impish smile.
Have a great week.
Sue
I cannot imagine a much sadder chore than having to do this. The sight and even the smell would be so overwhelming. I hope someone was with you for support.
ReplyDeleteGetting rid of those clothes must be just so difficult. I just can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteI think I look at the memory photos almost every day. :)
ReplyDeleteTime flies! Love your clown face.
