Mine blooms like 2 weeks before we have our first cold day. There are several different kinds of sedum and it blooms different colors. I have one that blooms a purple/pinky color and one that blooms a rusty red. My mom used to call it Live Forever.....it just keeps living and living and living on! Some of the purple/pinky plants in my yard came with me from my first home and that was 26 yrs ago. I had it for about 5 over there. I never can remember its proper name but recognize it once I hear/see it. That is the first one. The third down is a thistle. I'd have to see the flower to identify.

I like easy plants in my garden. I have some Lupine, but it dies off quickly.
