I was just playing around with the camera the other day and taking pictures of just about everything. I took one through the screen in the window and I was quite surprised how it turned out.
Have a look for yourself.
Instant texture added to the picture. It made me think what else I could use. I just may have to do some more experimenting.
I've taken pictures through a window screen before too, and the result is just as you say and show. It gives a very interesting image, with a filter that gives a beautiful effect.
ReplyDeleteThat really turned out well. Whenever I try and take a picture of one of our visiting birds, you can barely see it. I guess it might help if I cleaned the window and the screen :)
ReplyDeleteRatty, sure does, it's amazing what a camera can capture.
ReplyDeleteTahtimbo I've got lots of pictures taken through the window that didn't come out to well due to fingerprints and dirt on the glass.
ReplyDeleteSince I take a lot of window pictures I have many with the screen affect - I always liked it...
ReplyDeleteI like how that turned out! I'll have to try the screen effect too!
ReplyDeleteI like how the flower does not really seem impacted but then you see the texture around it. I will have to play tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWow...that is a beautiful and interesting photo. And I must commend you for how clean your screens are...I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteUnusual and exciting shot!
ReplyDeleteIf you would take a picture through most of our screens, you would have a lot more "texture" to work with.
ReplyDeleteGrace, most of my through the window shots have smudges from my dirty windows...lol
ReplyDeletebeaded tail I'm thinking I have to start holding things in front of my camera to see what other effects I can get
Nico designs I don't remember for sure but I think I had the camera right up against the screen when I took this one
earthtoholly before you give me too much credit for clean screens you should take a look at what the glass in the window looks like
Duni thank you
fishhawk well I think I got lucky and just found a clean spot on the screen to take the picture from
That did turn out well. I couldn't take pictures through my window because it is so dirty I can barely see through it. That is on my ToDo list of things.
ReplyDeleteBut I like the way the through the screen worked. Good job.
Have a great day.
Yes ~ a great photo ~ Love it!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! But I'm thinking your screens have to be clean and free of cottonwood fuzzies!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteI always look for Duke here--you have me addicted to his little face!
Cool Shot sweetie!! I Love the screen...and the Flower is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a peaceful Sunday sweetie!
hughugs
Wow, a gorgeous and interesting effect. That flower is just breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteAmazing...you are definitely a pro.
ReplyDeleteMarg washing windows is on my to do list also. My screens are much cleaner than the windows are...lol
ReplyDeleteOllie McKays, thank you very much
Lin I don't know how clean it is but there isn't any cottonwood fuzzies in it
Bossy Betty thanks and sorry no Duke today, he asked for the day off :)
Donna very peaceful Sunday, cool and rainy today but still nice and relaxing
poetic shutterbug thanks I love the iris with the purple against the white petals
urban cowboy not really a pro but I do like playing but thanks for the compliment :)
That's so cool! If I tried that all you would see would be screen :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool - interesting that the flower appears clear but the background is textured.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a gorgeous flower. Did you use manual focus? If not, how did you keep the camera from focusing on the screen?
ReplyDeleteAudrey you know I've tried it again and I couldn't get it to work...lol
ReplyDeletesplit rock ranch yes I just wish I knew how i got it to work the first time
Anne I used my old point and shoot for that picture and I had it on the auto setting. As for how I got it to focus on the flower, I'm not quite sure, pure luck I think.
