Duke and the garden bunny

Today I am turning the blog over to Duke because he wants to tell you his story.

Hello everyone. Today I want to tell you about how I met the garden bunny and why I don't like him. You see my mom is growing a little tiny garden in an egg carton.
Mom was showing dad how all the seeds are growing and they were talking about how they'll plant them in the yard when it gets warmer. It sounded very exciting and I wanted to take a look.
Well apparently there is a bunny, who thinks he's some kind of gardener, watching over the whole thing. I mean really, just because he carries an old tin can with a pitchfork, shovel and silly plastic carrots doesn't mean he's in charge of things.
Stupid bunny yelled at me and told me to get away from the garden
MOM! Something has to be done about that bunny. I don't like him.

I'm just going to sit here and look sad but I'm really plotting my revenge on that silly bunny. He's back there laughing at me isn't he?

    Aww, poor Duke! I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that bunny is even real. Go give him a good sniff when your mom's not looking and see what you think!

    Yes, Duke, he is back there laughing his little bunny head off at you. Some things are just not for you to fool with, and this sweet little garden is one of them. Any dirt you want to investigate should be outside. My Bunny is cute, but he will never be as cute as you!! Have no fears, you are still king of the hill!!

    hmmmph. i think that bunny's kinda shady if you ask me. i think he just wants to eat everythingie your mama's tryin' to grow in that egg carton. you're bigger than he is, so maybe you could just accidentally knock him over with your paw. he'll get the hint. heehee.

    Fun post and fun reading the creative comments too. I thought the bunny was cute until I saw it from Dukes point of view! Now I'm not so sure :)

    That's a great idea to use an egg carton. I would never have thought to do that.
    Duke, you can always send the garden bunny over our way. He can keep Koko and Yum Yum away, so we can have an indoor garden :)

    Hi Duke, Hopefully, that big bunny will keep 'other' bunnies (those that move around and eat gardens) from getting to your Mama's garden....

    I think I heard that bunny say that he likes you, Duke... He wants to be your friend... Can you reconsider and be his friend????? Of course, he doesn't want YOU near the garden either....

    Well Duke you are going to have to call for reinforcements.You can face it and get another little dog behind it and check it out.I would send Claudia over but she would gobble it up. She loves stuffed Bunnies.

    booker I bet he thinks there's carrots in there. He's had those plastic ones in his bucket for a while now and hasn't tried to eat them. He wants real ones

    tahtimbo I was going to buy the seed starter kits from the store but I thought they were rather expensive and I had the egg carton from a 2 1/2 dozen pack of eggs so I thought it was perfect

    the bunny is smiling, i can see that, but my question for you my friend Duke, is "did the voice of the bunny sound like mommies voice?" hummm? just maybe. you are looking soooo handsome and the plants are looking good to. tell mommy the photos are really good and i like that bucket shot

    Oh no! Duke doesn't like the cute bunny. I'm so sorry about that, but if Duke doesn't like the bunny then Duke doesn't like the bunny. You go Duke. My best to your mom. :)

    Duke, I really do think that bunny wants to be your friend! I think the bunny may need some of your help looking over that garden :) Louis enjoys digging up the flowers I plant, and I would not suggest that! However, keeping a watch over that little garden along with the bunny could only help it grow even better.
