Carl's Amazing Tree

Today was Wade's birthday. I took him out for breakfast this morning and then this afternoon he wanted to go to his friend Carl's house. Carl owns quite a bit of land and he had been telling us about this tree he has that you just had to see to believe. So while we were there he gave me a ride out in the woods on his 4 wheeler to see this tree.

A closer look at the trunk and the way it curves


Here I drew a red line to show the way the tree is growing. The line across the bottom is where the ground is. Where it begins to curve back up, it's not touching the ground. 

The coolest tree I've ever seen.

    I've never seen anything like that! I'm amazed at how it doesn't touch the ground. Kind of freaky. Happy Birthday Wade!

    That is amazing!! Boy, wouldn't my little grandbabies love playing by that tree! I can see them now...running under and around and under and around......

    I had the same thought as Beaded: it looks like the Loch Ness monster is in the woods. *laugh* Very strange indeed.
    P.S Do I need to tell you how much I absolutely adored the photos of your messy craft room?

    Amazing, if it wasn't for your picture I wouldn't believe it! I would be glad to find some day something similar, as I like trees very much.

    That really is a different tree. Looks like it got tired and then came back to life. Glad you got a picture of that.Happy Birthday to Wade. Hope he had a great day. Take care.

    by far the coolest tree I have not seen and would love to see. wow, it is so big and tall and beautiful and way cool. would love a walk in Carls woods. i can see lots to photograph just in your photos and maybe there is a fairy or a leprechaun living under that tree. I see MAGIC
