I had a picture of Duke that I liked except it was taken with a flash and he had alien green eyes. I tried to fix them but I wasn't having any luck.
Instead I chose to turn it into a sketch
After I did the sketch and a few other little things I can't remember, I added a pattern layer. I downloaded patterns for photoshop from a website called Subtle Patterns. The site has tons of free patterns to use and you can either download a file that contains all of them or just the ones you want.
Wow, I was just going to type that this portrait is very subtle, and then read that this is the name of it!!!!

I LOVE it!!! Did you do this with pencil and then highlight it with photoshop? It's soooooo good!! I like to sketch myself [if you've noticed my 'art' link on my sidebar].
