Antiques

Sunday when Amanda and I were out we stopped in an antique shop. I couldn't resist taking a picture or two while I was in there.
This display on an old dresser was quite nice.

Of course the room we were in was a little on the dark side so the lighting isn't so good on this. I knew I could make this look even better. Or shall I say my version of better.
A little texture, brighten it up a bit, add a bit of a sepia tint and lower the saturation and this is what I got.

  4. Adding the sepia tinting most definitely made the image much more attractive to me. By the way, I looked up what sepia is, and now I know even more about what I am talking about!

  7. ...one of my favorite pastimes!!! I love browsing antique stores.

Too bad, some of the things I find in them are identical to what my mom had and threw out. [I still get flabbergasted when I see something like moms. LOL]

  25. I love the texture and "antiquing"! :) Great job. But now you'd done it. Between you and Sandra I now absolutely have to find the time to learn how to add texture to photos. Great. Thanks a lot Ann. LOL. :)
