Last weekend while I was out running errands I had to go to a little town called Cambridge Springs. I don't know why but I've never taken pictures there before. I only took a few this time but I really need to go back for the sole purpose of getting some shots.
The end of this building is where my favorite second hand store is. Three floors packed with all kinds of things.
This bar is across the street. I saw the for sale sign on the side so I don't know if they are open anymore but if they are they have home made turtle soup daily. Loved the painting on the side of the building.
Yes, me too!! I love the blue train painting!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to browse in the second hand shop with you!
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos, I like the train painting on the wall.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
The painting on the wall is great. I have never tried turtle soup..is it really made with turtle meat??
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I could get immersed in three floors worth of junk for HOURS!!!! After all 'One mans junk is another mans treasure'...or in our case 'Ladies'..lol
3 floors of second hand stuff to rummage about in sounds like heaven. lol

Oh I love all those old buildings! My dad would get a kick out of the mural; he's a big train buff.
ReplyDeleteNeat old Victorian buildings! And that train graphic is way cool!
ReplyDeletei want to go with youuu. what a fun trip, we could duel on who could take the most and bestest photos. would love to wander in that store.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a photographer's heaven...
ReplyDeleteTurtle soup sounds different.I love second hand stores.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love old buildings? I do--the details, the woodwork, the history....
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'm good with the turtle soup. :(
Great shots! I miss the old towns with main streets and stores...

I love that name and the sign too. Way cool. We could have a glass of wine in there.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day and weekend. My best to Duke. :)
I love old buildings like that and that painting is so cool!
ReplyDeleteI know that I could literally spend hours looking around that second hand store. I love looking at stuff like that.
There is a wine bar directly across the street from us. They also serve sandwiches and pizza and are excellent. Love it. And well, S.D. works for the owner so we get the royal treatment.
ReplyDeleteAnd there's a fun antique store close by. I was SO tempted to walk up there today to browse but I refrained.
Great compositions! I love random photo excursions like that.
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit that thrift store! Love the painted train! Turtle soup?? Really?? I didn't think people still ate stuff like that. I'll stick with potato soup.:)
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such an ole timey neat town. I bet they have some great stuff there. Bet some of the food is really good. Maybe not the turtle soup. No thank you. Have a great week end.
ReplyDeleteI really do hope that turtle soup is a made up name. People don't eat turtle soup do they? I suppose the shell would make a good soup dish.
ReplyDelete3 floors? I could spend hours in there! I wouldn't be hungry enough to eat turtle soup though!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to visit 'junk' stores???? One time when I was visiting one, I found some old green dishes just like the ones my parents had when I was a little girl... I didn't buy them --but they certainly did bring back memories.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
The towns of today are so different aren't they? I do love that train. sandie
ReplyDeleteI would love to explore that little town with you! Thanks for the well wishes for Sadie too.
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to paintings or murals on the side of a building. They're just plain neat!
