I just love the look of a small town that has been well preserved. Linesville, Pennsylvania is one such town. The shops have such an old time feel about them. I've driven through so many times and thought I really should stop and take some pictures but I never have the time. Sunday morning when I was on my way to the park for the craft show I made the time to pull over and take a few shots.
I don't have the originals to show you but I have a few that I touched up with the impressionist brush.
Now I have to find the time to browse through some of these places.

Oh, you know how much I love this technique! I gave your tutorial a try but I have a different program with slightly different settings. I can't find the impressionist brush. I know if I just keep playing around I should be able to do this. You have made some gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteThis has old town charm! It looks like a place I would like to browse around in too.
ReplyDeleteI love small towns too. Much better than the big cities. We live in a small town of about 6,200. We like it just fine. Love what you did to the shots. Way cool.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
A lot of the towns here the smaller ones have those small towns - like a square - and they are fun to go shopping in.

If these pictures weren't in color you would think they were taken 100 years ago...
ReplyDeleteI like your light hand with the effect. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteLet me know when you're going and I'll go with you, LOL! Lovely brush treatment!
ReplyDeleteI love to photograph "Main Street USA." We have so many of them around here. I'm so intrigued by the buildings and I like to think about what things were like when they were built. So cool!
ReplyDeleteI love small towns like this one for shopping and grabbing a bite to eat. What fun! Nice photos!

ReplyDeleteI love well-preserved houses in smaller towns! Those shopfronts look lovely. I wish they wouldn't tear down old but nice buildings in my little town.
ReplyDeleteI love them too! Actually, these pics remind me of Easton, Pa!!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely the type of place where I would tell my hubby to pull over and let me explore.
