Paybacks

Getting old isn't always so bad. Yeah, there are aches and pains that I didn't used to have. Yes, gray hair and wrinkles aren't real attractive but I have no intentions of entering a beauty contest so who cares.
There's also the joy of paybacks. You know when your kids were younger and they would act up in the stores and make you crazy? Well when you get older you can take them out shopping and do crazy things to embarrass them. To demonstrate what I mean I took Amanda to Walmart last weekend and we played in the Christmas isle

Then I made it up to her by letting her bake me cookies when we got back to my house.

  15. I have to give this a try. My son & his best friend have been kicked out of Wal-Marts for playing with the toys. Nothing destructive.
Teenagers! (he's a young adult now)
Knowing him he would love it and join right in.

  17. Wow, what a sport - you let Amanda make you cookies. I dunno the things parents do for their kids. (My husband and I used to love embarrassing his kids with our "outlandish" behavior in public - moistly singing and dancing. He maintains that's one of a parents main responsibilities)
