Seven year itch
Yesterday was our 7th anniversary. We didn't do anything special but then we never really do. We don't have pet names for each other, no honey or sweetheart or snookems. Mush just isn't us. I suggested a couple weeks ago that we just totally skip gifts all together or split the cost of one thing that both of us could enjoy. He quickly warmed up to the idea when I suggested we buy a new grill since the burner in our old one is shot. So that's what we did on Sunday.

Happy Anniversary, Ann! This is a fun card. My husband and I have to buy a new grill but it has been snowing so often that we keep putting it off. This evening it is snowing again! Denver may break a record for snowfall in April.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. Love the card!! We aren't big into our anniversary either...it's just another day...I think it's always more special when you do something just because as opposed to because you think you ought to due to a specific day!!

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I don't do cards, presents or celebrating of any kind when it come to our wedding anniversary. Actually neither one of us can remember the exact date ...I know it is sometime in the beginning of April . I do know the year tho (1990) but my husband can't remember that either...

ReplyDeleteWe are like that too--not much mush or gooey pet names. We like to buy something for the house to remember our anniversary--a garden bench, a wall clock...something nice.
ReplyDeleteThis year is our 25th--we are going to Hawaii to celebrate only because we are getting the airfare as a gift. With both kids in college, we are very lucky to be going--I guess that is our gift this year. :)
