Yesterday morning while I was waiting for my coffee to get done I stood at the sliding glass door looking out in the back yard. I saw what appeared to be a brown plastic grocery bag laying in the yard. My first reaction was annoyance at someone being so careless with their garbage.
The arrow shows the trash in question since the picture isn't very good
While I was looking at it and taking the picture, it moved, then it came closer. Turns out the trash was the neighbors cat. I'm wondering if it was laying there watching the bird feeder
We also had this little guy visiting. He didn't care if the birds were hungry or not. He later started picking up all the seeds on the ground.
I had a video of all the rowdy birds but when I uploaded it to youtube it didn't look so good. They were out there in full force and they went through an entire cherry flavored suet cake.
You can surely be entertained out back! I never heard of flavored suet. I bet that cat WAS stalking the birds at the feeder!
ReplyDeleteYou got the good kind of visitors. I used to get a lot of both of these types, but I haven't seen either for a long time.
ReplyDeleteSeems the cat is watching you watching him/her :)
ReplyDeleteOver here the birds eat the left-overs from Leo's and Molly's food!
Funny what things look like at first glance, isn't it? I love watching the birds at the feeder (which reminds me; I need to refill mine ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat cat had a certain glare after being called trash. LOL I laugh when I mistake something and finally see what it really is. I stalked a duck decoy once on the gulf, wondering if it was going to fly off it looked so real.
ReplyDeleteAll of our neighbors have cats so at any given time we have lots of them roaming around our yard. The good thing is that we haven't had a mouse problem...like we used to! That is a pretty cat though!
ReplyDeleteThat is so great to have a cat come visit even if he was watching the bird feeder. He is cute. Have a great day Ann.
ReplyDeletesince you have been wanting a cat, maybe that one is IT... ha ha on the moving trash bag.. when i first saw that sentence i thought the story was going to someone putting a cat or puppy in the bag. glad is was a moving cat and not one tossed in a bag...
ReplyDeleteHehe your "garbage" sure looks cute!!
ReplyDeleteCute Kitty!!! And adorable squirrel...much different looking than ours here in So. Texas. As for the cherry flavored suet cake, I probably could go for a nibble of that myself if it weren't for the cholesterol/fat content.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, I've missed you this past week. We're on our last leg home this morning.
ReplyDeleteI linked you to Awww Mondays because of all this cuteness.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Cat looks surprised!Hahaaa
ReplyDeletehughugs
Our suet cakes are with bugs and sunflower seeds...fun to watch everyone isn't it!
ReplyDeleteA cat camped out under a bird feeder - hmm.
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks cross that it's cover has been blown!
ReplyDeleteHeehee how cute! We had a baby chipmunk at ours - it took him all day to empty the bird feeder.
ReplyDeleteBusy yard!
ReplyDeleteHungry animals! Cat, squirrel and birds! A whole suet cake, wow. That's the one thing I miss about not living in a traditional home is all my bird feeders. I had 9 different types of feeders and tons of birds. Sounds like you do too. I look forward to a video when you can.
