I went into the way back machine and pulled out some old pictures because I have nothing else for today.

I found a couple before and after edits from who knows how long ago. They aren't necessarily better in the after picture, just different. It's all a matter of taste.

Before.

After.

  1. The teapot, I like the original photo better. But the blue glass one, I love your edit much better.

    1. I remember taking that picture with the blue glass dolphin. I was trying to make it look like it was jumping out of the water. I used a plain backdrop, propped the dolphin on an upside down wine glass and scattered colored marbles around the base. I think I would have liked it better if you couldn't see the wine glass base.

    1. You're right, I do have fun. Years back I could spend an entire day in front of my computer doing things like this. These days I don't do as much.

  6. This was the beginning of your experimenting with photo enhancement . . . the little steps that made you so good at it now. The internet and the computer can be an never ending learning process. How fun!

    1. I have to say my methods and taste have changed over the years in what I do to photos. So many things I learned over the years that now I have no clue how I did them.

  8. It doesn't matter which one is better I think. The important thing is that they are both unique now. It gives something extra special from originally one picture. It's the same reason I like to edit pictures.

I hope this comment didn't come through twice. Blogger is giving me some trouble.

  9. I like them all. You are much better at adding textures than I am.
