One day at a time

That is a phrase I have said quite a few times over the last few days. It made me think of the song. I never knew all of the lyrics to it so I looked it up.

These words shall be my new mantra.

One day at a time, sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from You
Just give me the strength to do everyday
What I have to do

  3. ((((((((((Ann))))))))))) During the rough spots in my own life, throughout these almost-62 years, my mantra has always been: "One day at a time.... and when one day is too much, then one hour or one minute at a time." So if one day seems like too big of a chunk to have to get through, cut it down to one hour, honey. Look at the clock and say "Ok, I made it through that hour.... now let's try for another one" and so on. You can make it, sweet friend. And we're all here with you. Lovingly, Andrea xoxo

  8. Whoever, or whatever, you look to for peace, 'one day at a time' is the sanest way to go. Take your time, with everything, decisions made, feelings felt...Just 'breathe' and 'believe'

  10. It's easy to get overwhelmed in such a unexpected and tragic situation so I'm glad you're able to look at it as one day at a time. As Grace said, don't rush anything especially decisions that will impact you in the future. Wait months if you need to. Trust your gut and take it one day at a time. Sending hugs.

  12. Hi Ann, you have been on my mind. I know all this has really hard and I know even before this you were struggling with issues of your own. I wish you all the best wishes you can receive in hoping things smooth out and get some better soon. I am so sorry about your husband. Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. My neighbor second door down lives on a incline and she can see the stepping stones. She loves the shed and that. If she only knew about the brick on the side of the house that says, "just another brick in the wall" of the painted mouse hole in the guest room...haha. take care.
