I got a Christmas card in the mail the other day and while the card itself was wonderful the envelope was simply amazing. Longtime blog pal Lin from Duke and wheel is learning caligraphy and this is the most amazing envelope ever.
She even did the little Christmas ornaments in watercolors. Love the look of of the caligraphy. Awesome job Lin.
I like the Stamp. It's pretty. Very thoughtful of her :)
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome! I'm impressed at how well it survived going through the mail system.
ReplyDeleteI know, I was impressed too
DeleteThat really is a great work of art. What a good job she did. Ann, you have a great day.
ReplyDeletework of art is exactly what I was thinking too
Deletewow, I have never seen a painted envelope. love it
ReplyDeleteI'm such a loser....waaayyyy too much time on my hands! BUT...I had fun making them this year and I'm glad that you liked yours. FYI...the key to somewhat protecting it from the elements is to spray the envelopes with a matte finish after the watercolors were completed. The ink did not bleed since the paper was less porous.
ReplyDeleteLoser? are you kidding, these are awesome. I loved it
DeleteI got mine yesterday! I was going to scan it and post about it but now that YOU have I won't - I've put my envelope in my 'Lin" stash of beautiful envelopes. Amazing, isn't it? (Oh, you know what's funny - Your card was addressed to 'Mrs.' and mine was addressed to 'Ms.')
ReplyDeleteyes, totally amazing. LOL on the Mrs and Ms
DeleteUm...sometimes you concentrate so hard on forming the letters that sometimes you forget some. and yes...I have to make extra envelopes for that very reason. Sorry Grace...here is your "R". Hahaha!
DeleteWow, that's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, she made the envelope into a work of art! Also, it takes so much time to do up Christmas cards, so think how long it would have taken to do this!
ReplyDeleteWay cool. I would love to learn calligraphy. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Love the art, you are blessed. My chicken scratch is pretty bad in cursive, I print all.
ReplyDeleteI've got pretty good penmanship but I can't do the caligraphy.
DeleteTruly talented!
