I can't say that this rose smells sweet since it's made from paper. This was a free cut file in Cricut designs space. They have a section that offers free files for a week. The machine draws the black line and then cuts the pieces. I added shading with colored pencils. After I put it all together I decided to do some heat embossing. I used ultra thick embossing powder and it didn't cover completely. I liked the way it made it look like there were water drops on the rose and leaves.
Just another angle.
Today I have an eye appointment then tomorrow I have an appointment for my hearing aids. The weather is supposed to be snowy and extremely cold. I may not have much time for commenting the next couple of days but I'll be back at it when the appointments are out of the way.
Yes, it does look like wet raindrops on the flowers. An accidental cool effect. Yes, that is Phil flying his remote glider on my post. Let us know how the appointments go. Phil hot a hearing aid, and returned it after a month. It didn't really seem to help.
ReplyDeleteOh too bad about the hearing aids not helping Phil.
DeleteI love-love-love how your roses turned out, Ann. Yes, your embossing powder does look like raindrops. So pretty! Good luck with your appointments. One of my favorite chores..... NOT!! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks. I started by using a holographic powder but then went over it with the thick stuff.
DeleteAppointment one went fine today. Now I just wait for them to approve the glasses

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're finally getting to the hearing aids. That's taken a very long time.

ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteA happy accident that made your rose even lovelier. I think what you do with paper could become addicting. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBe warm, safe and I look forward to hearing from you again when you have time.

Fingers crossed it all goes well! Stay safe and warm and let us know how the hearing aids work. Some of us could use that information. I'm happy for you. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm just worried about the drive tomorrow. I hope the weather holds out.
DeleteI'll be sure to let you all know how things go
I am your newest follower and just found you through Rainey (Lorraine) Flower Lady's Musings. I am looking forward to getting to know you better! Good luck with your appointments. Diana
ReplyDeleteVery pretty roses! Yay for being able to see and hear better!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are pretty and I don't know anything about the processes you describe to make it, so I admire your skill. I may have told you before but my hearing aids work wonderfully well and I hope yours do too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely paper rose!! I don't have a Cricut or any other machine but have been using paper punches and making flowers lately. I even folded tissue paper so the kids in the school program could make flowers that way. They enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely. Hope your appointments went well.
