I've always been a doodler. While talking on the phone, I doodle. Well I also happen to doodle while watching a video that isn't holding my interest. I was watching a photography video and it was more yick yack than instruction. I got bored, I started to doodle.
It continued on with lots of worthless jibber jabber that had nothing to do with what I wanted to learn. Oh but I had colored pencils.
And still more of the blah blah blah blahbitty blah. So while he droned on telling me nothing useful, I colored my doodle.
I didn't learn anything new about photography but I entertained myself. I may not be good at it but it doesn't matter.
This is real pretty! You can create beauty with your doodling. I struggle just to draw a stick figure.
ReplyDeleteyeah but this is about as good as it gets...lol
DeleteAre you kidding me? These are great! Hoping more videos don't hold your interest.
ReplyDeleteYou can doodle us any ol' time! (That really sounds inappropriate, I know. Y'know what I mean....read between the lines!! It means more showing us your doodles!! That isn't good either! I give up.)
LOL, you crack me up
DeleteI used to doodle a lot, but now my doodle time is used with DEVICES... and I don't talk on the phone. and I want to know why you did not close the video and find another one. jst sayin? or were you so in to doodling you used it for background noise. I love watching youtube to figure out how to do something, learn something but I go through several until I find one I can watch. some of them blather on until I want to scream, just tell me the A B C and get on with it
ReplyDeleteI think you are hood at doodling! I hate it when I try to watch a video to learn something and all they do is talk...mostly aboutbthemselves.
ReplyDeleteI love your doodles! Wish you were here to help me figure out a mermaid sketch. I'm still going crazy with my watercolor markers and getting so many new ideas! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou are a very "artsy" person, Ann. Have you ever done mixed media art? After the foundation is laid, on the project, you can "doodle" with a permanent marker and it's so darling. I like to watch Sara's videos on YouTube. Her channel name is "MySerenityCrafts". Look her up.... I think you'd enjoy watching her. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI have tried mixed media and found it very enjoyable. It's sort of an anything goes, no rules kind of art. That works for me. I'll have to look for that on you tube.
DeleteYou are very crafty, Ann. You do so many beautiful things and you enjoy it. That's the best part.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Yep, I do enjoy it.
DeleteI 'doodle' the same shapes all the time - the only thing I mastered in art class was a 3-D box and I find I doodle them all the time along with a kind of vine thingy - Your doodle is, of course, way better and prettier but then you are way more talented than I am...
ReplyDeleteOh I do lots of 3-D boxes too. Those and swirly things are kind of my go to doodle...lol
DeleteYour doodles are paintings to me! HA! I draw stick figures!!! Keep it up! Annster's Domain
ReplyDeletewell when it comes to people, stick figures are what I do too
DeleteHave you ever made roses out of an apple peel. One must be able to trim the skin all in one piece
ReplyDeleteI've never tried them but I have seen them.
ReplyDeleteI love to doodle too. It is fun to do. Have a great day Ann.
ReplyDeleteyes, it sure is and it doesn't have to even have a purpose
DeleteYes! Doodling isn't about being "good" at it, it's about doing it. One of my little disciplines is to doodle something every day. It doesn't have to be much, but I have to do it to feed my soul. It's like meditation.
ReplyDeleteI had planned on filling a journal with a doodle a day but gave up after a few days. I have a bad habit of not keeping up with things like that
DeleteThat's cool! I never seem to doodle anymore.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out a very pretty rose! Some sewing videos bore me to death. I wish they would just get straight to the technique :)
