Today we celebrate moms everywhere. I didn't have a close relationship with my mother and for all my efforts I can't say that I was that much better at being one myself but I tried.
Happy Mothers day, you ARE a mother and I hope your day is good.. No crazy customers or fellow employees either... I can join the group of lousy moms if there is one...
Mother's Day can be very complicated...and it is for me. I do not have a good relationship with mine, so I hate all the sap that is plastered all over social media. That said, I have worked really hard to be a different (not "better") mom than mine, and I can honestly say that we, as a family, have a good relationship--for which I am really grateful.
I hope you enjoy your day...whether as a Mom...or just as Ann. Motherhood is hard stuff and complicated, isn't it?!

You are likely a great Mom, but just don't think so. There is so much pressure put on moms. I hope you have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteYou may not consider yourself a good mother, but I'm sure you were! It's up there at the top as being THE toughest jobs ever.
