What a pig

A while back Sandra tagged me in a post on Facebook. It was a picture of a cake and when I saw it I knew I had to try and make it for my sons fiance. Her birthday was yesterday so I took this over to her.

Mine isn't exactly like the picture Sandra posted on Facebook but it's close enough. The one I copied was a taller cake and it had a bow on top of it. This was my first attempt at using fondant. We don't use it at the store so I had to go buy some to use for this. Too bad you can't see his curly little tail on the back side. I wasn't completely happy with the eyes, I wished I would have used a smaller tip but they are what they are.

    1. Yep, I made that. The cake itself was pretty easy since it's just piping the icing all over it in a swirly type pattern. The fondant nose, ears, feet and tail were a new experience for me. I had fun with it though

  9. I love it.....cute. I used to decorate my grands kids every yr with whatever they were interested in at the time. Stopped it a few yrs ago. Never worked with fondant. I have lots and lots of tips and colors, bags and other stuff. Lady that used to live next door to my mom was moving and selling all her stuff. Ten bucks got it all.

    1. I always used to make my kids birthday cakes but they were just frosted and I wrote happy birthday on them. I never knew how to decorate until I started the job I have now. It's always fun when I get to experiment and try new things.
