sky high

I snapped a picture when I was leaving work one day lat week. Gas prices have gone up again.
What is the price where you live?

  1. We don't really keep track of the price, since we have to get it no matter what. We think it may be $3.15.

  2. I had to look it up since we don't have a car - $2.95 to $3.15...

  3. I'm ashamed to say I have no idea what gasoline costs these days. But I know it's higher than it used to be cos I hear everyone complaining about it. A democratic president always means higher fuel prices and I have no idea why that is. ~Andrea xoxoxo

  4. $2.89 last I paid attention. Pretty soon with this administration raising the debt limit, we'll be paying $12 for a dozen eggs! (exaggeration)

  5. Gas prices - yikes!! Ours went up 10 cents/litre on Thursday so we're now paying 1.43/L - hmm, that might work out to $5.72/gallon .... happy days.

  6. We are at $3.19 and I nearly fainted. It cost $36 for a half a tank of gas and the person that had just left had paid $42. I can remember when I was in high school and my friend and I would put a dollars worth of gas in her dad's car and ride around all night chasing boys

  7. I don't usually pay much attention to gas prices. Ron mostly does our fill-ups. Even when I do stop to buy gas, I don't take note of the fluctuations as they always go up and down. I looked it up though and our average in NJ is about $3.20.

  8. 3.25 mostly here in Michigan, so lucky I stay home a lot and my family can sometimes work from home, which is super! Just fill up ladies and hide your receipt.

  9. I don't have an answer. We only get gas once a month.

But the Reason for this is simple.

Gas companies know that green energy is coming.

Of course, for us.... This fact is good and bad.

If the *Powers That Be* were logical, they would roll out green energy, wisely. Not just mandate across the board. Which always hurts the little guy first.

Gas prices rising... Natural gas prices to be up this winter, when we need it, to heat our homes... Etc. The Little Guys and Girls. US! We are and will be hurting...

  11. We're paying around 4 bucks a gallon here in California.

  12. I'm the winner (loser?) at $3.599! Although I can't believe how high yours is Anne. At least I can blame Chicago, Cook County and the State of IL for all the added taxes.

  13. I'm in NZ we work in litres & these are NZ$ - I just checked Mr Google (I don't have a car) and it's approx 98 is $2.26, 91 is $2.12 and diesel is around $1.85 - those 90 numbers are different grades, the majority of cars I think use 91. (probably not these prices but will give you an idea if you've ahead or behind...)
