early to bed early to rise

I don't know how healthy, wealthy, and wise I am but early to rise sure does make me tired. Yesterday I started work an hour early again which means I started at 4:00 a.m.. this week I wasn't quite as tired as I was last week and I managed to stay awake when I got home. The absolute best part about starting work that early is that I get to leave at 1:00 in the afternoon..
We finished off the day chilling out in the living room because the Internet connection on the TV in the cave was having issues.

  1. That is a really pretty pink paisley comforter. Is it Gibbs'?

  2. Gibbs is looking happy to have you home mid day. love the quilt/comforter he is on, it has aqua and magenta, and would fit my home perfectly. glad you have a 2nd tv. maybe a wifi booster? or is it just to the tv.. i was the first to volunteer at work when they asked for early in home at mid day. no one else wanted to do it. getting off at 1 is like having the whole day off

  4. I'm a very early riser as well...usually between 3 and 4 am. Been doing this for years. We got up early when we worked at the plumbing shop. Now retired, we still do it.
    The Gibbers looks cozy!

  5. I work 6am-2pm and love it. Some mornings it's hard to get up, especially when it's cold and dark but it's all worth it when 2 rolls around.

  6. Being inside where it's warm and cozy is a good thing. You both are doing it right.

Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

  7. I would like to feel justified in chilling out today...it is rainy and cold here. Truth be told, I have not did anything so far other than take Roger through Mcd's drive-through. But I want to see if I can declutter some...declutter is not the right word for me but I cannot think of what is. I took out three big bags Saturday...two of them I had gotten together that days. And the other I added to. I am surprised my house has not exploded with all that is stuffed in it.

  8. I thought I was an early riser but not next to you. I go to bed around 11:30 and get up between 6 or 6:30.

  9. I know that getting up early has to be hard but it's nice that you have time to relax and watch TV when you get home.

  12. That would be hard for me to get up at 4.00 a.m. but getting home early would make it all worthwhile. Two very comfortable and cosy scenes :)
