Although it may not look like it, this really is progress.
I've already gone through quite a bit of stuff and have sorted things into piles. When I get overwhelmed I walk away. When I start to feel the itch to do some cleaning out I go up, grab something to sort through, and take it downstairs. It's slow going but at least I'm getting somewhere. I've already filled two garbage bags. I'm sure there is way more that I could throw out but then again I could have saved it all.
That is the way to do it!! You always have to make a big mess before you make things look better.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! As you say, big messes are part of the process. The main thing is to have them isolated so you can walk away from them and not have to keep looking.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I see this at my house too. It’s a process :)
ReplyDeleteI did this yesterday, because I found a table on the curb while walking Beau. took bob back with me and we brought it home, it would not fit where I wanted it in the living room so put in the computer bedroom, I did not take aphoto of the room while i was working. I moved the computer and two desk and one thing led to another. I may end up putting the table out at the curb by our house.. but the room is organized
ReplyDeleteHahaa...I think I identify with MadSnapper...sounds like something I'd do...
ReplyDeleteLove all the progress Girlfriend!
hugs
Donna
Our office/craft room is on my list to do. Clearing and organizing always causes a mess before you're finished. Good job!!
ReplyDeleteEvery little thing that is tossed out is progress...
ReplyDeleteI can only do that when I am in the mood and I do get overwhelmed with all that I have for arts and crafts. You're doing great!
ReplyDeleteAn organized mess! Thats the best way to get it done!
ReplyDeleteWe do the same thing here. It works very well. Progress indeed.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and work week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
I know how it goes. Seems Bigger mess while decluttering. But in the end...job well done.
ReplyDeleteI need to do this with my quilting supplies. So much of my fabric is old and stale. I won't make a quilt with most of it anymore, so I need to either toss or donate the fabric somewhere and start fresh. Yeah....thinking about it is as far as I got. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThat's always the way!!
ReplyDeleteI made a mess sort of like that....I cleaned out under the hutch and two drawers today. It's always messy getting things done. If someone don't make a mess then they are really sick people...lol
ReplyDeleteVery cool and exciting on the progress. I'm a messy worker too when I get things in order. I make a mess to clean a mess or sort or declutter. It's all fun.

ReplyDeleteWell, I deleted this once as I saw that I had already commented, but then I thought I'll go ahead and repeat it as I added a little. I remember when I used to paint wooden ornaments, my craft room was very messy, and if I cleaned up, I couldn't find anything. I remember hubby saying after one clean-up session, didn't know there was a carpet in here, funny man! You're doing great, it's a process.
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
