From a different angle

So it turns out that the iris in my front yard isn't as big as I thought it was. They finally bloomed so I took a picture of them.

Since this one was blooming I decided to go out in the backyard and check on the Japanese Iris. Sure enough they are starting to bloom as well.

The Lupine is also starting to bloom.

I just love this time of year.

  1. They are all so pretty. do they all smell good? I think the white iris coordinates with the colors of your house so well.

  4. I love them ALL, but my most favorite is the purple. they are so beautiful.. imagine the beauty if they WERE as tall as the house accross the street. we had a 4th shower of 6 minute rain, so things are starting to bloom here also. I need to go to the gardens to see just what they are doing

  5. Lovely! Love the little mini Iris. I don't have any like that. It is interesting to see where y'all are in the blooming process. I looked back on my post and mine were finishing up around May 6, so we were about a month ahead of you on Iris blooms. My garden is a mess. I have 4 o"clock coming up all in there and they take over everything. But the last two yrs I have not had to plant them, they come back from seeds dropped the year before. I have also been looking at my Spiderwort, and I put it back in the corner but I think I might need to move it. Its doing well but I can't really see it right now. Love that plant, so many pretty purple blooms.

  12. they all look so healthy - your land with such a winter look, and I never expect things to look so good in the next few seasons. Of course, I don't live where there is ever snow, so I don't know "plant promise that comes up..."
