Hinge Health

As part of my health insurance I get free access to Hinge Health. It's a digital healthcare platform that provides personalized virtual care.

After doing so many of the exercise workouts they send free items. The first gift was the device stand and the resistance bands. After a few more videos they sent the yoga mat.

I don't know if it's really helping or not though. My problem is my knees and they have been hurting like crazy lately. I've had days where I think this is helping and days where I'm convinced that it's not.

  1. It sounds like a good thing they are trying, but I'm so sorry about your knees. Is your new job better for them than our old one?

  2. I exercise with those bands too! I'm sorry to hear about your knee pain. I know how excruciating that can be. ((hugs))

  3. Would physiotherapy help? You might then find out which exercises are helpful and which are not. I hope you find the answers. Knee pain is not fun.

  4. Sounds like they are trying to give you good incentives. My health insurance doesn't give us any perks. Hope your knees feel better.

  5. This is very neat and a great way to get people involved in exercising. My knees would be hurting as well...upper body I can do, but anything that relates to the knees...just doesn't work for me.

  6. sounds good, just watch what you do that effects the knees, hey don't know you have bad knees and I suggest you go get your knees checked out. when I went in 2015 they did therapy and taught me the exercises to fix my knees that I still do to this day

  7. Hinge Health is a helpful tool, especially with the free equipment and guided workouts, but it’s understandable that results can feel inconsistent, especially with knee pain. Sometimes progress is gradual, and listening to your body is key. What feels helpful one day may not the next.

  8. Ann sorry to read about your knees. Hope the exercises and resist bands will help. Hubby was having back trouble and they set up therapy sessions with similar items to help him. It took a few days and visits but he thinks it did help. Praying the same for you. P.S. Yes, I think those north of us (which you would be) did get more rainfall. Take care and don't work out too hard. Hugs!

  9. I think it is a good idea to keep stretched but do have them checked out by doctors. I see Sandra wrote here, so she is okay.

  12. Never heard of a health insurance that sent you gifts. No clue about your knees, though. I hope it works, but trust your body, too. :)

  13. Hey Ann if feel your pain today.
    Apologies for being late
I twisted my ankle (really bad) last night. Spent the morning at my doc's office getting it checked out and xrays
It is better today and she doesn't think it is broken. Hope to hear from xrays tomorrow

  14. Yes, trust your body and go easy on the knee exercises. Free equipment is a new one on me..our insurance sure doesn't do that.

  15. Good grief, your knees are hurting now that you are not standing every workday and baking!!! You just can't win.

  17. How nice of them to send "encouragements" along the way. Yes, exercise does NOT help my knees one bit....in fact, makes them worse. When the cushion is gone in the knee joints, it's just gone....and the more you move the joint, the more it hurts & aggravates things. But exercise is good for the rest of the body, they say. It's a Catch-22 thing. Love, Andrea xoxo

  19. Sorry about your hurting knees. Seems to me if some exercise is hurting it isn't the one you should be doing.
