Remembering Duke

So it would seem that Duke has been watching over us and noticing how much we've missed having him here.

He didn't want us to be lonely any more and so he sent us someone new to love.

I'd like to introduce you to Gibbs.
Gibbs is a Yorkie Cavalier who currently weighs all of 4 pounds and has an endless supply of energy. He came to live with us last Saturday and since then when I'm not at work I'm on constant puppy patrol. I'm a bit exhausted and nothing is getting done around here.

Someone said that it was too soon for us to be getting a new puppy but I wasn't going to argue with Duke.

AWWWW, I am SO happy for you, Ann!!! It is time for you to give another dog all the love and joy that you shared with Duke. He is just adorable! Tell me everything! How old is he, how did you get the name, and where did you get him?

I knew one would arrive. Looks close to my Lily, she is Yorkie/Maltese. What a great pick.

Hooray!!! Oh, I am so happy that you gave another dog a home! What a great thing to do in Duke's memory.

Who's to say how soon is too soon?? Gosh, I wish there was a meter for that sorta stuff. Sure would make life so much easier.

My theory is that as long as I have sunny windows and room for another in this house, I will give another kitty a home here. Another day in a shelter is one day too many. I can't get them here soon enough!

Good for you, Ann! Please give Gibbs a smoochie from Aunt Lin!

One should never quarrel with Duke! Oh, I'm so happy for you and your new little puppy, Gibbs! Did the name come from the character on NCIS? Gibbs is quite a cutie pie with beautiful markings. (Our next door neighbor's dog is a King Charles Cavalier.) I hope he brings you years and years of love!

Congratulations on your new family member! And what a cutie he is! I don't think it's too soon at all. With as much love as you have to give to an animal, you would be cheating yourself, and Gibbs of that love.

Duke knows this and wants you to be happy. We will all never forget Duke!

I'm looking so forward to getting to know Gibbs, and follow along on his adventures. I think you have your work cut out for you because we often forget what it's like having a puppy around! You're going to be busy.

More pictures, more pictures!!!
