cute little witch

I just love this cute little witch that I used as a print and cut file. She looks adorable on the front of this Halloween card.

After I took this picture I ended up stamping Hello on the top and then it went out in the mail.

I'm not the only one

There are plenty of talented cardmakers out there and one of them is my blog pal Ida.She has two blog but her cards are on Faith Artistry. You can also find her at Wishes, Dreams & Other Things. She sent me this adorable Halloween card.

It was looking at all her great cards that got me inspired to get back in the craft room and get moving. She does a lot of stamping which I've never done a whole lot of. That doesn't mean I don't have a bunch of stamps though. Maybe I'll even start using more of them.

summer or fall

Last Friday when I left work it was actually 81 degrees out, it felt like summer. As I sat there on the couch looking out the front door it looked like fall.
Then later that night when I let Gibbs outside, even though it was still quite warm, there was quite a light show going on with the lightning. Shortly after we came in we had a downpour.

Snowman love

Anybody that knows me knows that I hate the snow, but I sure have a soft spot when it comes to snowmen. Here are the two Snowman Christmas cards that I made the other day

is it too early?

Quite honestly I don't think it's ever too early to start making Christmas cards. Again with the cut and print files, I created these adorable Christmas cards. I also have some snowy Christmas cards that I will show you tomorrow
Here's a short video to show you how these open up.

You can hear Gibbs's nails clicking on the floors and then at the end I think that was him shaking but not quite sure.

A nice Sunday.

Sunday after I got out of work I went over and picked up my daughter to bring her to my house. We cooked up a pot of hamburger soup, watched a Christmas movie (she's a Christmas movie fanatic), and sat around chatting for the rest of the evening. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday

For Anni

I was in Walmart the other day and saw some witches on the Shelf. Naturally I immediately thought of Anni. So this post is for you Anni

An autumn morning

I can't remember what morning I took these pictures. I think it might have been Saturday morning. Anyway I looked out the bedroom window and it was a beautiful Autumn morning

A Tuesday morning view

We are still short on cashiers at work so last Tuesday after I finished making the donuts I had to head up front to play cahier for 4 hours. This was my view out the window
Looking west
And looking east

My phone

Some of you have asked what kind of phone I got so I thought I would do a post on that. I borrowed some pictures off the internet to use.

My phone is an LG stylo6. It comes with a built in stylus. Funny thing is I was looking at the pamphlet that was in the box for the phone and saw it was supposed to have a stylus. I was kind of annoyed because there was no stylus in the box. Then I realized it is "built in" There was a little spot on the bottom where you push and out pops the stylus.

This really doesn't show much but this is the phone. It was available in black or blue and I chose blue.

When I got it they didn't have any cases available for this phone which was ok with me since they charge way more for them than what I can get one for on Amazon. When I got home I headed to amazon to find one. This is the one I decided to get. With tax it was just under $10 and the ones they sell at the Cricket store run around $25

This phone is the same width as my old one but longer. It's big but I prefer big since old eyes have trouble seeing anything that is too small. It came loaded with a bunch of games and it's been entertaining me with Crossword jam, Coin master, Toy blast and Rummy stars.

out in the yard

I took a quick walk around the yard to see what I could see. Of course there's the random fall leaves laying on the ground.
Look up and you'll see a beautiful blue sky. (Not necessarily today though)
Just off my property line there is a dead tree surrounded by overgrown weeds. I spotted a few red berries that I snapped a picture of
Last but not least these little pretties were growing near a storm drain.

My kitchen window

A few simple decorations in my kitchen window. The fall Dollar Tree foam dice I showed you in a previous post. The garland that hangs across the window I made last year. I can't remember where I got the cute fall Angel but she's one of my favorites. Rounding out the display is the little pumpkin tea light holder
Here's a better look at the fall angel.

Halloween reverse canvas

Today I have a fun reverse canvas project to share with you. I can't remember where I got the free cut file from and I'm too lazy to go look it up right now. I altered it slightly because the original file had a circle around the cat and it didn't look good in the frame. I was happy with how this came out

When I wrote the draft for this post I didn't have the source for the cut file. I've since looked it up and it is from Craftbundles.com

first day pics

So the day I got my phone I decided to make a stop at a local park to try out the camera. I didn't take a lot but just enough to see what kind of pictures it took. I was happy from the start

I know they may not look the best here but it was a gloomy kind of day. If you compare to what the old phone was getting, these are a huge improvement.

Halloween card

I have a cute little Halloween card to show you today. The background is a piece of scrapbook paper. I cut the happy Halloween and the Frankenstein on my Cricut.
You might notice the improved quality of my picture today. You might assume that I used my big girl camera to take the picture of the card. You would be wrong. I finally decided to switch phone carriers and I got myself a brand new phone last Monday. I've been like a kid with a brand new toy

a very creative Day part 2

I'll skip the narrative and just go right to showing you the cards. Pardon the bad cell phone pictures. I really do need to get a new phone or use my big camera.
