For a birthday

Wades youngest daughter has a birthday coming up so I made her a card

She also just had a baby so i need to work on a card for that. Hopefully I'll get that done this weekend.

you can't make this stuff up

Yesterday morning at work I started my day as usual. When I'm making the donuts I set one of the trays that I put them on, on top of the stove. Just like always that's what I did. I filled it up with donuts after they were finished And when I went to grab the tray it was exceptionally hot. Turns out somebody left the burner on all night long and it was so low that I didn't see the flame. You can see the mark on the back of the tray where it was sitting on the burner.

 

After that I had a nice little argument with the milk delivery guy.

The third and final event of the day was when a customer called wanting to know if she could get her money back for a money order she had purchased a few days ago. I told her what our procedure is and then she informed me that the person who was supposed to get the money order had refused it and wrote void on the money order. I then told her about the next procedure she should follow to have the money order replaced. She then informs me that she's already done this and just wanted to know if she could get her money back for the money order she purchased. Sorry lady you're having it replaced you can't cash the money order now

I spent the majority of my day off napping and watching TV. Today I have to go back to work and all I want is to be able to do Monday over again

For an old man

I got work yesterday morning and found another 🎂 cake order hanging.  I thought this was a lot to put on one little 1/4 sheet 🎂 cake but oh well. I wasnt thrilled about having to do the 🚜 tractor but not much I can do about that. It looks like a kid drew it with a broken crayon

I got this text from my sons fiance Wednesday night

I suck and am so late getting something for my sisters birthday. Ill pay you but could you possibly cut me something like this and ill apply it to the mug and everything. If you could just make the sticker thingy

I told her I didnt think I could do it from scratch but if I had a cut file I could. I set out to search for a shark similar to the one in the picture.

Friday night I finished the decal.

It's not perfect but she was happy with it.

25 years

I don't know who Jesse and Cathy are but they have been married for 25 years and I made there cake yesterday at work.

Playing with Presley part 3

My daughter took plenty of pictures on Sunday which is great since it gave me lots to blog about. I could have done this all in one day but then I would need more material.

Presley didn't want to eat any of her dinner. Her dad said if she didn't eat her dinner she couldn't have cake. I said since I was the mom of the dad, I could override that ruling. I think she enjoyed her cake.

Once the toys are all on the floor, there is plenty of room in that box for one cute little girl.

So that's the end of the Presley pictures for now. On to something else tomorrow.

Playing with Presley part 2

I have a box full of bracelets that I made when I was doing the craft shows. They never sold but they are a lot of fun for Presely to play with.

I'm not quite sure what the game was but I would say we both had fun. I'm pretty sure as she was lining the bracelets up down here legs, and then mine, that she was saying "staying"

I absolutely love being able to spend time with Presely. She is the bright spot in any day.

And this one is my absolute favorite.

Playing in the rain

After we all ate dinner on Sunday my son was headed outside to have a cigarette. He asked if I had an embrella so I ran and got him one. Because he was outside Presley wanted to go out too. I took her outside and before I knew it we were all outside playing in the rain.

I went in to grab another umbrella for Presley to use although she didn't really mind getting wet. The best part of it all was that her and I did a little puddle jumping.

That wasn't all we did though.

Happy Monday

Popping in a little late today to say hello. I didn't have a post scheduled for my regular time today because yesterday was family dinner day. I was far too busy spending time with my kids and playing with Presley. I'll be back tomorrow with pictures that my daughter took

To skip or not to skip.

That was the question for the night.  I really don't have anything to post about. My day off consisted of some cleaning and running to the drug store for a refill on my prescription.  The only other thing I did was try to beat the heat. The temp was high 80s with a real feel in the 90s. It's supposed to be even hotter today. I used to love this weather but the older I get, the less I like it. Fall is my new favorite season.

Hydrangea

I think I post this ever year but I haven't done it yet for 2020. There is a hydrangea bush in my front yard that my dad planted for me many many years ago. Some years it's blue, some years it's pink, some it's purple and some years it hasn't bloomed at all.

I never know if I should pull those dead looking sticks out so I just leave them alone.

On one side there is pink

Donation

I have had Wade's clothes packed up for quite some time now. They have been sitting in boxes in the basement waiting for me to take them somewhere. Monday I finally got around to doing that.

There were two different containers that I could drop the clothes into.

I chose the one that gives all the clothing and shoes to veterans. Wade always liked helping people so I think he would have approved of my choice.

1979

I posted this the other day on Facebook, but since not all of you follow me there I thought I would post it here as well. This is a picture from December 1979. I said on Facebook that this was my laugh of the day because I should have known by the looks on our faces that we would have ended in divorce.

I also posted this picture. This was taken on the same day. This proves that I wasn't in a bad mood that day because I was smiling here.

One evening continued

After taking more than an adequate amount of pictures of the moon I turned my attention elsewhere. I spotted these three birds in the dead tree that sits just off my property line.

I zoomed in a bit to try and get a better look.

They finished their birdie connversation and then they flew away.

One evening

Gibbs and I were out in the back yard and I noticed the full moon. It wasn't dark yet but the moon was looking big and beautiful and begging me to try again to take it's picture

The picture was actually a little lighter but I adjusted some setting to make the moon stand out a bit more.

Tomorrow I'll share what else I saw while I was out there.

Spell check please

At work we have a lot of hand written signs for unadvertised specials. Usually they ask me to make them. Recently someone else made the signs. I walked by an end cap the other day and read one that said Rozoni pasta. As I was going down the isle it hit me that I thought it was Ronzoni. When I checked, sure enough they left the first n out. Then I read the sign on another shelf.

I think these people might want to look at the product to get the correct spelling. 

New mask

I figure as long as we have to keep wearing masks, I may as well have fun with it. If it keeps up I'll do special ones for the holidays. Here's one I made Monday.

I like this pattern because its quick and easy to put together.

More cakes

Just a couple more cakes that I've recently done at work

This first one was supposed to have an edible image on it. The Rugrats image that I had was rather old and I couldn't remove it from the backing paper. Since I couldn't get a hold of the customer I laid the image on the cake with the paper with instructions to inform the customer that it would have to be removed before they ate it.

 the order for the next cake had very little information so I need you to call the customer to find out what they actually wanted. The woman that I talked to said she really didn't care. I asked her what color  because the order didn't even have a name on it so I didn't know if it was supposed to be colors for a guy or a woman. She told me no it's for me, my husband told me just to go ahead and order my cake.

Dots

I got you work on Sunday and found a cake order hanging on my table. The order asked for dots on the cake. So dots they got.
