I have had Wade's clothes packed up for quite some time now. They have been sitting in boxes in the basement waiting for me to take them somewhere. Monday I finally got around to doing that.
There were two different containers that I could drop the clothes into.
I chose the one that gives all the clothing and shoes to veterans. Wade always liked helping people so I think he would have approved of my choice.

En you did it very well ... I guess ... because I don't know who Wade is ... Sorry!
We can also donate clothes and shoes and sheets and blankets ...
Good idea! I much rather donate things to someone who's going to give them away instead of to someone who's going to sell them for money. I always try to give the clothing to either Hope Family Services r2r homeless Ministry. I did not know they had one for the veterans I have not seen one of these anywhere
Wade would be happy that you donated his clothes to the Veterans. It is comforting to know that the clothes will be appreciated.
That whole idea of cleaning & donating seems so final...sad. But good too. I have mixed emotions on this.
Bitter-sweet.
Sad part but that's the right thing to do.
I think you chose wisely...
I'm sure that wasn't easy for you but it helps t know your helping our national hero's!
What a wonderful thing to do, Ann. I'm sure Wade would have approved.
Have a blessed day, my friend. Big healing hug because that was a hard thing to do. ♥♥♥
Ella, Wade is my husband who passed away 2 years ago
Anni, yes it does and sometimes I think that's why I procrastinated so much in doing this.
Sandee, thanks and I think he would approve too
That was nice and I would have picked the veterans too!
That sounds like the best choice. Our donation boxes are closed now because of the pandemic. :(
how fabulous that you found the right time, the right place for that part of your life...a weight lifted from your shoulders.
I'm so proud of you. I know it was a very hard thing to do but now it's done and you can know that you are helping others. What a great cause too. Well done my friend. Lots of hugs, Diane
