License plate fun

 I was on my way to work one morning when I saw a license plate that had me stumped for a couple minutes. When I stopped at a red light I quickly pulled out my phone and snapped a picture.

It finally dawned on me what it was supposed to mean. Or at least I think I figured it out. Did you get the same thing I did?

When the wind blows.

 Monday April 20th I walked out the door and saw snowflakes on the top of the garbage can. It was cold but this was the extent of the accumulation

So what do you do when it's cold outside? You get all cozy on the couch and nap.

CT scan day

 Tuesday April 21st was CT scan day. I had to be at the hospital at 7:00 and my appointment was at 8:00. Surprisingly I got in and out pretty quick. I wanted to take pictures while I was in the hospital but never got around to it. The best I could do was snapping a couple in the parking garage before I left.

I wasn't supposed to eat before I went so I was hungry and stopped at McDonalds for breakfast.

After that I just wanted to go home. I ended up spending the rest of the day sleeping off an on until it was time to go to bed.

A few days later I got an email that the results were in my patient portal. I read the whole thing but didn't understand most of it. I got the fact that they detected a blockage and recommended an angiogram. 

Saturday 4/25 around 8:00 pm the cardiologist himself gave me a call. He explained the results, said they found a blockage and the next step would be a cathetarization. I agreed to go ahead and he told me he needed me to do a few things first to satisfy the insurance and that the hospital would be calling to set things up for me.

I quickly jotted down (and quite messily I might add) the medications he wanted me to take. He's supposed to be calling in the prescription ones for me.

So now on to the next step. Hopefully by the time this publishes I'll have an appointment time set up. Now to figure out how I'll get there since I can't drive myself and what to do with Gibbs if I have to stay overnight.

Random stuff

 Sandra from Madsnapper and Beau told me about a coloring app for the iPad. It's an easy thing to take to work to keep my busy during the down time. It doesn't need wifi if you've already got pictures started.  I started a bunch to get me started.

I have fun sometimes using AI to give me fun pictures that I can use as wallpaper on my phone. Mostly I use one picture of Gibbs and ask AI to do different things to it. We're on spring now and this first one is currently on my phone

Last but not least, I took a picture of my computer screen one morning when I found a recipe on Denise's blog An English Girl Rambles I thought this sounded easy and yummy. I haven't tried it yet as of the time I'm writing this post. I plan to though

Drawings year 2 week 45

 

Day and night

 The dandelions are back. My back yard is a sea of yellow.

I let the dog out after dark and tried to get some pictures with only the light by the door on. They came out a little blurry.

Then I tried again when it was light outside.

Finished one and started another.

 The deer diamond art picture is done.

I still need to find a frame for it but the picture itself is finished. 

Now I've started another one. This won't take very long. This was one that I ordered online and it was super cheap. It has a chain for hanings

I think after finishing this one I'll take one of the big pictures I got as gifts to work and start working on them.

Was it trick or treat?

 The one day I was at work alone and bored, I decided to go to the mall on my lunch hour. That way I could get out of the building for a while. My destination was Boscov's since I had a couple coupons that I wanted to use before they expired.

I bought myself 2 tops and a sweater

On my way back to the office, I stopped at McDonalds and bought myself a very unhealthy but delicious lunch.

I pulled into the parking lot and went to get out of the car. No office key on my keychain. I went into panic mode. I pictures the key laying in the mall parking lot. I took a breath, searched the car and thankfully the key was laying on the floor. This is the 3rd time this key has worked it's way off my keychain.

It's now back on my keychain on a much sturdier ring.

April 22

Today would have been my anniversary. Wade and I would have been married 20 years. Sadly we only made it to 12 before he passed away

This is the only picture I could find. I think I did this edit when we were fighting. It would explain the wording on the page.

1957 was the year it happend. That's when my brother was born. He was the oldest child, I came along 5 years later. He would have been 69 this year. He sadly passed when he was 57 years old.

Spring is in the air

Today I have the day off because I'll be going in for my cardiac CT scan. I'm a bit on the nervous side so I could use all the good thoughts you can send my way.

 We've had more good weather days than bad lately. Of course there is rain mixed in but it's not the cold and threatening to snow kind of weather.

One morning on my way to work, I was stopped at a red light and couldn't help taking pictures of these trees.

I'm also seeing more green on the trees. It just makes my heart happy to see things like this.

I do things backwards.

 Most people would buy a table runner to go on their coffee table. I bought a coffee table to put my table runner on. I ordered an inexpensive coffee table from Amazon so that I had something to put that table runner on in the Ann cave that Amanda bought me for my birthday. 

It came on Wednesday April 8th. It sat unopened until the next Friday. That night I put it together and let me just say I hate putting furniture together. All was good until the last screw that just would not go in for anything.

It was together though so I grabbed the table runner. Gibbs approved.

The Ann cave isn't real big and I thought the coffee table took up too much room

So Saturday I made the decision to move all the furniture around. In my younger years I could have done this in an hour or so. These days it's an all day project because it requires plenty of breaks. And of course my hip was screaming at me the whole time wanting to know what in the world I was thinking doing work like this.

In the end I liked this set up better and Gibbs again gave his approval.

To continue or not

 As you saw yesterday, I've been doing the daily drawings for more than 2 1/2 years. I've filled 7 sketch books and just started the 8th. I'm trying to decide if I want to continue after I fill this last sketch book that I have.

I could fill this last one and then call it quits. Or I could purchase more and keep on going. At this point, I really don't know which I want to do.

Sandra at MadSnapper N Beau said that if I enjoy doing it keep going and if not the stop. So I guess I just wait till I'm close to filling up this last sketch book and then decide whether or not to buy more.

Progress on the diamond art

 I've been slowly working on the diamond art picture that I bought at Dollar Tree. I'm probably about a third of the way done with it. 

The deer itself has parts that are very similar in color and the symbols on the canvas aren't real easy to read. I've been slowly but surely narrowing it down with the ones that I can figure out.

Just a little more to go at the top and then finish off up the center.
