Bad momma

I just want you all to know that I have the worst mom ever. She never remembers my birthday. Blog friend Donna remembered it though. She sent me a really nice card in the mail. If I were to tell the whole truth, my mom can't even remember my exact age. She "thinks" I was born in 2013 but without looking at papers she really doesn't know.

She tried to take a picture of me for this post but I wouldn't look at her

She was relentless in her attempts so I finally gave in but I let her know I was not happy.

She's just lucky that I don't hold a Grudge. By the time this publishes I may be done being mad at her. Especially if she supplies me with extra treats.

Grocery list

 How do you write a grocery list? I used to write them on paper but always seemed to forget them when I went to the store. I started doing them on my phone which has it's own set of problems.

Once I accidentally deleted the entire list half way through my shopping. Luckily I remembered what else was on the list.

On a recent trip to Walmart, I stopped at the pharmacy first to pick up a prescription. While I was waiting I pulled out my phone to look at my list. There wasn't much on it but one item had me very confused.

Just what the heck are Baby sprinkles supposed to be. I told the girl in the pharmacy that I hated auto-correct and we laughed over the list item and wondered just what it could be. I walked through the entire store trying to figure it out with no luck.

After I got home I was doing some cleaning and noticed the bottle of low dose aspirin on the counter and it hit me. "Baby Aspirin". I got my phone out and added it to the list for my next shopping trip. It again auto-corrected to Baby sprinkles. Apparently I left one of the "i's" out of aspirin so it corrected to sprinkles. I don't get it though because asprin is way closer to aspirin than it is to sprinkles.

A get well card

 Recently Pam from Life through my eyes posted about her grandsons accident. She gave an address for anyone that wanted to send him a get well card. I came up with the perfect plan

Duct tape on the front of a plain card with the words "They say duct tape fixes everything.

I took the pictures at night so the lighting wasn't very good but you get the idea. 

Again with the parking

 It seems that it's becoming a habit. People just don't care about how they park.

I looked out the window at work and again someone was parked slanted while all the other cars were pulled in straight.

Then there is this one who just made their own parking space. My car is parked in the last spot 

I guess people just don't care any more.

It came

 Friday 8/21 I got home from work and it was on my porch.

What is it you ask? It's the computer I finally broke down and ordered. I was a bit nervous about having it delivered while I was at work. I've never had a problem with porch pirates but there's always a first time. 

I only ordered the tower because I already had a monitor, keyboard and mouse. I got everything connected and then went to try and sign in the two browsers I used. It kept telling me to check my internet connection. I did check and it said I was connected. <SIGH> wait till tomorrow.

The next morning all was good. I got my Cricut installed and now it's just a matter of figuring out what other things I need to install. 

Oh and yes, I'm writing this post on the new to me computer. (I purchased a refurbished so it's not really new, just new to me) I so missed typing on a real keyboard.

For real

I went to Walmart,  did my shopping and got in line. I always go to a cashier rather than a self check out. There were two carts in front of me. One the guy was unloading and the other I discovered belonged to a woman who went off to get a second cart to transfer her purchases to once they were rung up.

I should have taken the picture sooner but didn't think of it.

She had found a clearance rack that everything was marked $1 and she must have cleaned it out. Her cart was stacked at least a foot high over the top and she had at least 6 of every item. When she was done she apologized for me getting stuck behind her. I couldn't help thinking that she could have offered to let me go in front of her. My total was $35 hers was $190 something.

I said to the cashier, I wonder how many of those items will be for sale on Marketplace for way more than what she paid.

On the way home

When i was on my way home from getting my MRI I found a couple things to take pictures of while at stop lights. First I happened to drive by the

The building is looking a bit run down since i lived there. Of course that was back in 1982. 

Next i was stopped in front of one of rhe firehouses just as a fire truck was coming out.

I was expecting sirens to come on and thought i would have to pull over. Apparently wherever they were going it wasnt an emergency

Unfortunately they aren't doing any weeding around all those little trees they planted and the weeds on my side are getting out of control.

MRI day

August 11th I took the day off to go get my MRI. I went to the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. 

When i first got there I wasn't even sure where to go but I landed in the right spot

I didn't wait long before I got called back and directed to a changing room. She handed me a gown and paper shorts and told me to lock everything in the locker and come to the end of the hall when I was ready

It seemed like I was in that tunnel forever but it was finally over and I was free to go. I already got the results in my patient portal but understand very little of it. As of the time I'm scheduling this I haven't heard from my doctor yet to find out what the next move is. 

Rain

The one day after I got to work it started raining like crazy

The wind was blowing and it was coming down in sheets sideways

You can't tell from the pictures but it was pouring. Across the street a guy was filling gas cans and even though he was under a canopy he had to have gotten soaked with the way the wind was blowing the rain

As I'm writing this post on 8/14 I am still without a computer and still relying on my phone and iPad to do everything. Let me just say I hate that. Im a desktop girl all the way.

This is the HP all in one desktop that has caused many hours of frustration

When it worked it was great but now it just sits there and mocks me.

Ive given up trying to fix it and have been looking for something to replace it. Im overwhelmed by the options and can't commit to anything.

The worst part is not being able to use my Cricut machine. I can only connect it with a USB  cable as it's an older machine.

On a long Thursday

Im alone now in the office 2 or 3 days a week. My manager comes two days every week and the division president comes once every week or every two weeks. I think for him it depends on how busy he is. 

Any way Thursdays are the long days and I'm usually alone. I decided I needed to get out of the office on my lunch break so I went to Hobby Lobby.

They had way too much Christmas stuff out for my liking

Then I took one very blurry picture going down the main aisle to get to the scrapbook paper

Oops. That one is sideways. I thought I took care of that but I guess i missed that one.

While I was there I bought more paper that I did not need and some sentiment stamps which I also did not need
