The doctors office finally mowed around that big drain system they put in

Unfortunately they aren't doing any weeding around all those little trees they planted and the weeds on my side are getting out of control.

Other things I saw around the yard

This one may look nice but its on a vine that chokes out anything that gets in its way. I found it in my Japanese Iris

MRI day

August 11th I took the day off to go get my MRI. I went to the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. 

When i first got there I wasn't even sure where to go but I landed in the right spot

I didn't wait long before I got called back and directed to a changing room. She handed me a gown and paper shorts and told me to lock everything in the locker and come to the end of the hall when I was ready

It seemed like I was in that tunnel forever but it was finally over and I was free to go. I already got the results in my patient portal but understand very little of it. As of the time I'm scheduling this I haven't heard from my doctor yet to find out what the next move is. 

Rain

The one day after I got to work it started raining like crazy

The wind was blowing and it was coming down in sheets sideways

You can't tell from the pictures but it was pouring. Across the street a guy was filling gas cans and even though he was under a canopy he had to have gotten soaked with the way the wind was blowing the rain

The guilty party.

As I'm writing this post on 8/14 I am still without a computer and still relying on my phone and iPad to do everything. Let me just say I hate that. Im a desktop girl all the way.

This is the HP all in one desktop that has caused many hours of frustration

When it worked it was great but now it just sits there and mocks me.

Ive given up trying to fix it and have been looking for something to replace it. Im overwhelmed by the options and can't commit to anything.

The worst part is not being able to use my Cricut machine. I can only connect it with a USB  cable as it's an older machine.

Drawings year 3 week 7

On a long Thursday

Im alone now in the office 2 or 3 days a week. My manager comes two days every week and the division president comes once every week or every two weeks. I think for him it depends on how busy he is. 

Any way Thursdays are the long days and I'm usually alone. I decided I needed to get out of the office on my lunch break so I went to Hobby Lobby.

They had way too much Christmas stuff out for my liking

Then I took one very blurry picture going down the main aisle to get to the scrapbook paper

Oops. That one is sideways. I thought I took care of that but I guess i missed that one.

While I was there I bought more paper that I did not need and some sentiment stamps which I also did not need 

At a stop light

Im getting desperate for blog material. While sitting at a stop light I grabbed a couple pictures of the plants they had in their landscaping

Im still using my phone to write posts so that could be contributing to the lack of quality. Then again I'm not sure many of j y posts could qualify as quality content. I think they are mainly because my brain yells me I must post

Fan-tastic

A bit of a nonsense post today. At work I took a picture of the little fan I bought for my desk. Then I did an arts edit in my phone

on a boring day at work

I spend a lot of time looking out the window and watching the world go by. Sometimes I see things that might be good enough to use for a blog post.

 Then across the street there was a van that said Mobile Repair Unit. He was all set up to work on a car over there.  He even has an awning on his van

This post and yesterdays were done on my phone which i hate doing. All my pictures upload sideways for some reason. I did discover if I crop them first they'll upload right. Hopefully by the time this publishes I'll have my computer fixed. As of the time I'm writing this I'm relying on my phone and my iPad I'm waiting for the weekend to try again to fix it.

Ditch garden

It's always interesting to see what is growing in the ditches. It changes depending on the time of year. Right now you a lot of Queen Anne's Lace. I snapped a quick picture out my window while I was waiting at a stop light

August happy mail card

 For the August happy mail card I used the same card sketch that I used on the birthday cards I posted the other day.

Again I just changed the papers that I used.

And I used a different stamp for the inside.

One year gift.

 The one day at work the UPS guy came in with a package that was addressed to me. It was a gift from the company for my one year anniversary. As of July 21 I have been there one year.

Birthday cards.

Wade's youngest daughter's birthday is in August. I send all his kids birthday cards.

I decided to try using card sketches to come up with different ideas for cards. I also used a stamp for the inside of this one instead of hand writing or printing. 

Fire or not

 I left work the one day just as a text came in. I noticed it was from Amanda so I thought I would just wait till I got home to read it.

I get home read the text

A: That white house by the funeral home burnt down today. I just heard about it

Me: What funeral home

A: Um..the one by your house. Mattera. I couldn't remember the name for a second

Me: It's still there

A Oh I haven't been down there to see

Me:

Where did you hear that

A: Hid dad told him But I'm glad they didn't lose their house too

Me: What's his dad been smoking?...LOL

I see the oddest things

 I must say that where I work, I tend to see the oddest people and things sometimes. I'm sitting there at my desk and I looked out the window.

One of those guys who stands on the corner with his cardboard sign asking for money was walking down the street. He was using a doll stroller to push a couch cushion. He took it down to his corner and I'm assuming was using it to sit on.

Oh and that building across the street? That used to be a drive thru bank. There has been at least one homeless guy who has been using that as his place to land at night. His stuff has been there and he hangs out there sometimes. The other day the police were there and then he moved on. I'm assuming they told him he couldn't stay there. 

Tires

 So I told you I had to buy new tires for my car to pass inspection. This time the receipt is going in the glove box and I took a picture of it.

Not sure why it says 4 tires because I only bought 2.

Anyway, I had made arrangements with the garage to bring my car back on the following Wednesday so they could put the new sticker on. I said around 4 and the guy said that was fine.

I left work early that day, get there and he tells me "I can't do it today, can you come back tomorrow?"

I told him no, I left work early today and I called and made arrangements for it to be done today. He asked if I had my paper work with me, which I did. He went in his office wrote everything up and then put the new sticker on. I don't know why he thought he couldn't do it that day. 

Around the yard

 I took another stroll around the yard to take some pictures. Mainly just weeds but it's what's out there. But first we start by looking up into my favorite tree

The next two were little flowers that were growing out in the yard along with the grass
