Last day of 2025

 Nothing earth shattering or profound to end the year with. Today I've got The confusing list I took to the store with me the last time I went grocery shopping.

I always put my list on my phone that way I can't forget it. I was walking through the store, picking up items I needed and checking the list. Second from the bottom says camera. I know for a fact I did not put camera on my list. I can only assume that auto correct changed whatever it was that I typed in. Do you think I could figure it out? Nope

Hopefully I move into 2026 with less confusion and more clarity.

Our Christmas celebration

 I took a lot of pictures but most of them were blurry or out of focus. I was more worried about being in the moment than I was getting the pictures. Amanda sent me quite a few so maybe I'll share those on another post.

This year I gave a lot of handmade gifts and everyone was just fine with that. Everyone got a pillow. I think Presley liked her reading pillow

She tried on the hat and scarf I made for her as soon as she opened it

Brad was straightening out the antlers on the deer wall hanging I gave him. I guess they got a little bent in all the chaos

Snow folk

 I've mentioned my snowman collection in the past. I've shown some of it here but today I'm going to show you the cabinet I have that is full of snowmen

It's a bit dark in the hall so excuse the blurryness. 

Some of them are currently sitting out around the house for the holidays but there's still lots left in here.

Crazy weather

 You just never know what you're going to get for weather around here. We had all that snow and then it started warming up some. On Thursday Dec 18th it was 53 degrees. I took my vehicle to the car wash on my lunch. It was such a beautiful day.

Friday the 19th temps dropped and we had snow all day

These were both taken early in the day. We got a bit more than that and the roads had more snow on them for the ride home. There was also a lot of blowing so a few white outs. Nothing like winter in Northwestern Pennsylvania

 I know that today I should be sharing our Christmas eve get together but I have a few things to post about first and then I'll get to that.

Happy Christmas eve

 Today I'll be working till 12:30 and then heading home to get ready for our Christmas eve get together. We do everything on Christmas eve since both my daughter and son have multiple houses to visit for the holidays. I'll try my best to get as many pictures as I can and share them with you in the coming days.

Snow cold

 It's snow cold outside these days. This was on Sunday 12/14. The snow had fallen the night before and off and on all morning. Thankfully the guy who mows my lawn in the summer stopped by and plowed my driveway.

While I was trying to keep warm inside I thought I would take a picture of a few of my chilly friends who are hanging out on my window sill

Snow folk

 For years I used to put my snowmen on the steps. A few years ago I started putting them under the tree.

This year after putting a bunch of them under the tree, I realized I had plenty left to put on the steps too.

This little light of mine

 I have a little Christmas lamp that I put on my bathroom counter this year.

I probably bought it because of the snowmen but I liked the little shade on it too. It may not look like much in this picture but it sure is pretty when you turn the light on.

Maple Timber Coffee

 A new business opened up in my little town. It's called Maple Timber Coffee. They serve delicious hot and cold drinks as well as breakfast and lunch items. I've been reading a lot about it on on Facebook and have wanted to stop. 

Last Saturday I finally did before I headed over to Walmart to do my weekly shopping.

This used to be a pizza shop. The inside looked really nice and I snapped a quick picture while the girl was preparing my delicious drink

I ordered the gingerbread chai and someone described it on Facebook as Christmas in a cup. Let me just say WOW. It was amazing. A little more expensvie than I would normally pay but makes for a nice treat every now and then

Work tree

 We did some decorating at work for Christmas and of course there was a tree.

And a collage of some of the other decorating we did.

A morning sky

 I was on my way to work the one morning and the sky was absolutely beautiful. Of course I was driving down the highway at 65 miles an hour so I really couldn't get a picture. The best I could do was snap one when I got to the stop sign when I got off at my exit.

I thought this looked like a snowball so it went on the tree.
