Remember Me?

I can't believe I've neglected the poor blog for over a week. I've tried to keep up with my visits but in the past few days I've even neglected that. Over the past week I have considered doing a post but never got any farther than that. So this week I'm going to make a better attempt at getting back into the swing of things. I'll spend the next several days showing you what mundane fun and exciting things I've been doing.

Today, since it's Monday and not my most ambitious day of the week I'll just tell you that we had more snow over the weekend.

It started snowing Saturday night and by Sunday morning we were covered with wet heavy snow. The sun did come out Sunday and then we had lots of slush and mud. Not the spring time picture I'm looking for but according to what Wade read the other day it's going to take longer than normal to warm up this year. This is due to the fact that lake Erie froze over. If I don't get some spring like weather soon I may have to start crying.

I want to thank you for the birthday wishes yesterday. I spent the day shopping, kind of sort of. I went out to spend money but couldn't find anything to buy. Then I came home and lounged until Wade came home and then he took me out to dinner.

I was asked yesterday about my email and yes, the old email is no longer working. I'm in the process of getting everything changed over to a gmail account so I should be good to go soon. If I was more in the mood to sit in front of of the computer it would be done by now.

Duke wanted to pop in on all of you and let you know how neglected he is. He says you should all send sympathy.

Since it's Friday

and I'm leisurely enjoying my morning I thought I would throw a post out there. Not that it's much of one but it's more than what I have been doing
I have been such a bad blogger.
This is kind of how I feel about the day.
It's Friday, I don't have to go to work, and it just gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.

Yes, I think this Friday shall be officially named George.

Badges of honor

I'm still going strong with my diet and exercise program. I've been doing around 30 minutes of exercise on most days and I log everything I eat in my lose it app on my kindle.

Since I registered online with Lose it, the web site keeps track of my progress and awards me with badges when I hit certain marks.

My kindle hasn't been connected to the internet recently so there may be more badges waiting for me. If I don't connect to the internet with my kindle the web site doesn't get the information from the app.

Any way, aside from that I've been doing a whole lot of nothing. I haven't been in the mood for the computer so that is the reason for my absence. We did get our new internet connection hooked up and although it's been reliable, it's slow. Not only that but we can't get the wireless router to work with it so the only computer that has internet access is my desktop. Hopefully we'll get that figured out and we'll be able to use the laptops again.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone

Well isn't that a fine how do you do

I discovered that although Windows Live Mail has no problem recognizing my email address to receive emails it doesn't recognize it to send any. I have been responding to blog comments but Windows Live hasn't been sending any of them. I want you all to know how much I appreciate your comments and as soon as I get this figured out I'll go back to responding.

Tuesday when I left work it was almost 60 degrees out. Today it was snowing and blowing and I don't even want to know what the temperature is.
This picture isn't the current snow storm but it looks pretty much the same and I don't like it.

On a positive side to the weather at least Duke won't be coming in from his trips to the back yard all covered in mud .

Thankfully the weekend is almost here and next week I only have a 4 day week since I took off next Friday for my birthday.

Making my own spring

Since spring doesn't want to come visit me I decided to start making my own.

I recently saw the cutest bunnies on another blog and decided to try and copy it. I set out to make a pattern and came up with this. Now this guy may not be as cute as Denise's bunny over at The Krazy Kraft Lady  but I thought it came out pretty cute. I wasn't entirely happy with the ears so I did do another and change them just a bit.
I used some very retro looking material that I picked up in a thrift shop. I've got a ton of this stuff and haven't been able to figure out what to use it on.

He even comes with a matching egg. For the egg I glued the fabric on to a plastic egg and then painted a layer of glue on top of it

Bad boys

It was a rather slow weekend around here and by slow I guess I really mean lazy. I was in the middle of following along with the Sparta police department and their investigation of a local crime

We had to ask the chief to hold that thought while we did some investigating of our own.

So after going quite some time with on again off again internet issues we've finally decided to switch. We'll be getting hooked up next Monday. If for some reason I go AWOL it will most likely due to the current provider shutting us off.  We shall see. Hopefully the new one will be better.

That's just not right

I do all the ordering for the bakery department at work. Being on a diet, I jumped on a deal for some fat free muffins in two different flavors.
There was apple and chocolate. The picture is horrible since I took it with my phone but these are nice size muffins and like I said fat free. The apple ones are only 120 calories per serving.

Here's the thing. A serving size is HALF a muffin. Seriously? You think I'm going to stop at half a muffin?

Someone has a sick sense of humor. Making a serving size only 1/2 the muffin is just plain mean.

Monday Morning Blues

I probably should explain where I've been the last few days. But just because I should doesn't mean I will. I can't come up with an entertaining story about my absence so I will just say I just didn't want to.

Now the weekend is behind me and I'm facing the Monday morning  blues once again.

So as not to end this post on a negative note I will say that at least the blues are pretty colors
