When the cold wind blows

We won't be seeing flowers outside for what's going to feel like a VERY long time

Our view will consist of bare trees and lots of brown until the snow flies and covers it all up.

I should consider myself lucky that we haven't gotten the snow that some people have already had. I can't help whining though about how cold it's getting. Even when the sun is out there's a chill in the wind that sort of cuts right through you. The older I get the colder it feels.

On a positive note, we had a very good weekend here. Little Mr Gibbs was a very good boy. I know it's not going to last just yet but it was nice to not find puddles every time I turned around.

Hope everyone's week is getting off to a great start.

Gibbs!! You did good, you cute little fella.

And cold winds....brrrrrr. It's still green and in the 70s here for the day, but a cold front is moving in from Alaska so the weather map shows us. It'll drop down in the 50 degree range, I'm sure. But that is colder than it sounds with the sea so close by.

We got cold weather early in October, so I'm not noticing it as much. It is simply cold. brrrr. It's going to be a long winter.

It is getting a tad crispy - and Hurrah for no Gibbs puddles (pee-pads anyone?)

It's chilly here in the mornings/evenings and nights, but the days are warm. We were in the high 70s yesterday.

We're heading home from the boat this afternoon. We've had a great weekend.

I'm happy Gibbs was a good boy this weekend. You needed a break.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to Gibbs. :)

It looks like the arctic air is going to arrive here on Wednesday. Goodbye fall weather! Glad to hear that Gibbs is settling down a little bit.

Hey Cutie, Glad Gibbs had a good weekend.. He's a baby --and just needs to be taught and to learn. I'm sure he'll be a great pet for you two... He's truly a Cutie Pie...

That cold weather is coming here too on Thursday ---so we are working like crazy this week in the yard. George is putting the roses to 'bed' for the winter and I've been blowing leaves and cleaning flowerbeds. We won't get snow this time I don't think --at least not this week.. BUT--it's going to be cold... Brrrrr

Stay warm!!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

I say, "No to snow" but I don't think it's going to listen to me. It's cold here now and boy have the leaves been dropping like crazy.

Methinks you should start shoveling now to stay ahead of the drifts.
