Sorry about the yellow tint to these. I took them at night with the lamp on.

Sorry about this one
I don't often get political on here but the Jimmy Kimmel issue is really bothering me. People are saying that he should be free to say whatever he chooses without repercussion. I say yes, he's free to say what he likes but that doesn't mean he is free from the consequences that stem from those words.
I asked Bing AI and this was the answer I got see
You’re absolutely right that freedom of speech doesn’t shield anyone from consequences—especially in a workplace or public platform context. The First Amendment protects individuals from government censorship, but it doesn’t guarantee immunity from employer decisions, public backlash, or regulatory scrutiny.
In Jimmy Kimmel’s case, the controversy stemmed from his remarks following the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Initially, Kimmel expressed sympathy, but days later, he criticized the “MAGA gang” for allegedly politicizing the tragedy and mischaracterizing the shooter’s motives. That shift in tone sparked outrage, particularly among conservative circles and FCC Chair Brendan Carr, who warned ABC of potential repercussions if they didn’t act.
ABC, owned by Disney, suspended the show indefinitely, citing concerns over the timing and sensitivity of Kimmel’s comments. Nexstar and Sinclair, two major broadcasting groups, also pulled the show from their affiliate stations, saying the remarks were “offensive and insensitive”.
So yes—while some blame President Trump for pressuring media outlets, it’s also fair to say Kimmel’s own words played a central role. Employers often have policies about public conduct, especially when it affects brand reputation or regulatory compliance. And when you’re on national television, the stakes are even higher.
It’s a messy intersection of free speech, corporate responsibility, and political influence. Do you think this sets a dangerous precedent for other public figures, or was it a necessary line to draw?
I promise tomorrow will be back to my regular kind of posting. I just needed to get this off my chest. I'm tired of celebrities who think they can do or say whatever they want because of their fame.

The Homeless guy
I call him homeless but I don't really know for sure. I posted about him before. The one day he came to visit our garbage can and I snapped his picture. I can see out but he can't see in.
So he's been pushing around a shopping cart some days now as well. Can't remember if he had it with him that day. He did bring a mini garbage can with him though. He ended up leaving it next to the garbage can.
I watched as he pulled different food items out of it. He would pull them out of their cellophane wrappers and then crumble them into the little trash can. He also broke up an orange and squeezed it into the mix. Then he mixed it all up with his hands. Then he had a little snack. It appeared that there was shredded lettuce in there as well.He never did come back for the mini trash can and the maintenance company that comes every day to keep everything looking nice and tidy threw it into the big garbage can.

Fall decorating
I've done a little decorating at home but haven't taken any pictures of it yet. I did take pictures of the fall decorations I put out at work recently though. There were all kinds of decorations in the back room.

Lunch break
I have an hour for lunch every day. The other girl goes home and others that have been there will run errands. I mostly just stick around in the back room which serves as a break room and storage room.
The one day I had eaten my lunch, worked on one of the hats I was making and then decided to just start taking pictures. I twirled around in my chair and took a picture in each direction.
Oops, this one is a bit blurry
It doesn't take much to entertain me.

More hats
I'm on a roll with the hats. Not sure what I'm going to do with all of them
This one I made with yarn that I had in my stash.
I also have a pom-pom maker so I added that to the top.

Progress
I have more progress on the work going on behind my house. I came home from work on Wednesday 9/10 and this is where they were at.
The next day I came home and the roof was on.
Two days later on Saturday there were a couple guys up on the roof putting on shingles. They're just moving right along.
I'm a bit worried about how the back is going to be. They've built the dirt up quite a bit just off my property line. I'm really hoping this doesn't create another flooding problem. I guess I can only wait and see what happens.

Loom knitting
Since I pulled out that old project on the knitting loom, I've been on a kick. It's an easy thing to do at work during the down time. And we do have down time, every single day. I'm not complaining though.
After I finished that first hat, I decided to use the smaller loom and make a hat for Presley. This will be a Christmas present.

I'll be gnome for Christmas.
A couple weeks ago I had to go to the mall and I asked Amanda if she wanted to go with me. Of course a trip to the mall also includes a trip to Hobby Lobby.
We wandered the aisles looking at all the Christmas decorations which were already 50% off. Fall however is only 40% off.
As we were walking I came across a shelf that had all kinds of gnomes. Now I know that there are several of you who like gnomes but when I see them, the first person I think of is Ginny of Let Your Light Shine

Another Albion fair has come and gone
I have a bunch of stuff to blog about but I'm going to go with the most recent. Last week was our towns fair. If you've been with me a while you know that the fair parade on the last day goes right by my house. My daughter always comes over and watches with me. This year her husband came as well.
There were three marching bands. This is our local school. These kids work so hard and they're very good. They had a competition that day and took first place for (AA?)The second band wasn't very good and I mentioned it to my daughter who was in marching band once upon a time. She said because they don't practice much. The third band was pretty good though.
My daughter in law and Presley were on the float for the youth center. Presley was on the other side so she's not in the picture. My daughter in law in the one in the back pointing. I'm guessing she was pointing us out to Presley.
There were a lot more pictures that I took but I'm going to stop with these. At 1:00 I volunteered to work one of the gates for a 2 hour shift. I was with three other people and we were at the main gate which was very busy and made the time go by fast. Sorry the only picture I took there was the bag of admittance stickers and bag of cash.
