First day of school

August 26th was the first day of school around here.

I watched the neighbors across the street getting their 1st day pictures

It was hard to tell what kind of day it was going to be. If you looked one way you saw this.

And if you looked the other direction you saw this.

Then heading to work this is what I saw.

at least you were driving towards the good part and not into the dark part. I enjoyed seeing what you see to the NESW... a beautiful drive right now... 1st day of school, now a thing of our digital world. my niece is about to take a 1st day of college for her daughter, she is done with school. now she has 2 in college and I have watched them grow up on FB.. back when my sons were off to school, we had no camera and the people who did were careful what they took pictures of because of paying to get them developed.

Everything is recorded these days, but I wonder how much is retained. I have catalogued thousands and thousands of photographs, but I fear most of them will mean nothing to most people.,

At least you were going in the direction of the clearer sky. My parents never took first day of school pictures but I know everyone does now.

All the kids are back in school here, too. Picture taking all over the place.

Yikes on the angry sky. We had thunder, lightening and rain the other morning. It was very cool.

Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

Looked pretty dark and like it might be a rainy day for the first day of school... how did it turn out?

Your schools start a lot later than ours did —- August 11!

Amazing skies! I love the fresh start of a new school year (though very thankful I don't have to go).

We've had a *ton* of clouds here in northernmost Indiana too, even at night. With the full moon, the clouds at night really show up well. Ominous one way you look & clearer in another way you look....kind of like life, I suppose. Have a great week, Ann. Love, Andrea xoxo

Love the variety of clouds. Same way here, look one direction and its clear skies, look the other and one should build an ark..haha..
Yup, everyone around here is finally back in school. Don't have any kiddos now myself but my granddaughter is a 6th grade teacher and has been in class since the end of August.
Have a great week Ann.

A lot of drama in those skies. We had interesting skies yesterday when we were out, and thankfully the rains didn't come until we were just rolling back into the garage.

Interesting skies. We have days like that too.
