For the birds

When the alarm wakes me up any morning between Monday and Friday I normally think that working 40 hours is for the birds.

However, if the phrase "for the birds" means worthless or without value then I suppose my job really doesn't apply. After all I do collect a paycheck at the end of each week.
So my job may not be for the birds but it sure isn't my idea of a good time. Oh well, time to make the donuts.

These birds are lovely, are they in front of a bird store? I have never understood how you stay so thin working in a bakery!

Now I WOULD LOVE to have those herons in the top photo. Then, my yard work would be 'for the birds'!!

I feel the same way about insurance...not a good time at all! But there is that paycheck.

Love the photos - especially the first one!

Now I want donuts! LOL!
Do you remember the guy on the commercial that always said "time to make the donuts"? Funny!
Pretty photos!

Cool birds! Working is a waste of good crafting time!

I love both sets of these birds and would buy them in a hot second. I've got Two large birds like this in my living room and a couple smaller ones on my staircase landing. Love them.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. ☺

You'll have to let your mind fly away from those dreary hours like the birds.

How do you stay so thin working in a bakery/donut shop??? I had a friend who worked at one once --and she shared all kinds of fattening stuff with us... Needless to say, I gained weight!!!! ha

My dream job...to work anywhere near donuts. My sister use to make donuts in a shop years and years ago. Once she let me fill some...fun :)
